Just wondering if anyone can recommend the best (free) screen capture software to use for TV & DVD image grabs. Now that I finally have a DVD player on my system, I'd like the option of grabbing certain shots when the need arises.

    Thanks!

VLC has a built in screen capture function. Other than that I can't recommend anything.

Certain DVD software has a Screen Grab function included. i know that's the case with power DVD.

If not, Snagit is a good software (the trial version should be sufficient)

My laptop came with InterVideo WinDVD, which has a screen capture function. No idea if it's free elsewhere.

Seconded on VLC for screen grabs. Best all around video player IMO too.
