hey here is more progress on my diaclone car project.

I have finished building the head, one of the arms, the leg and crotch have been put together (although i may have to take them apart to fix an alignment problem) also i did a lot of gutting the hood out...! Not to mention creating a custom wheel shaft for the wheel to be able to sping freely. (it was just two wheels attached to a single cylender before.) Also I cleaned up the back of the first leg as well. The paint will make the back parts look like one soild peice rather than a bunch of peices together,........ .. well ive talked enough... just see the pics...

Head - Decided to make one instead of use that one I have in the other pictures. Kept it very diaclone-like, slightly samurai inspired as well of course.. Sorry I'll post more pics of it later, these aren't very good pics... he looks great from straight on and I didn't take a single pic of it......ugh...

The leg - bare in mine this all still needs to be painted and I'll be making custom g1 styled stickers as well to dress him up a bit. :)

    Leg folded.

The arm, which is ready to fold into the hood, missing the shoulder right now, what you see at the top of the arm is actually the "bicep."

And to help give an idea of what iy may look like when finally completed...

Dude, looking awesome! I've always wanted more G1 style toys (poor articulation and all). I'm going to do the same with a VW hippie van. I just have to find a good way to cut the diecast...

thanks guys. I'll attach next time Redline.

Hey repair bay... Hippie van was sorta a plan of mine too, it will be interesting (if i ever get around to it.. which i probably wont..but..) to see the how we both approach it. Warning, working with the 1/39 scale is very hard... very small... Regardless after this custom I plan on doing an entire line of new generation diaclones.

To cut the diecast I would definetly invest in a dremel and some cutting wheels. I'm open to suggestions though if anyone has a better method... be careful though... I nearly cut my finger off three or four times now.... i really need the workbench thing... doing it by hand is dangerous. Wear goggles too.
