It is time Scouts be brought back.

I just purchased Toysrus exclusive scout Laser beak and its got me thinking, remember Breacher and Hubcap, all wonderfully detailed figures and at the perfect size for manipulation.

Now think about some of our larger Cyberverse figures and imagine if they had made them slightly larger and more detailed. Why not make the major characters in Scout form too, especially for the next movie. You guys should get Laserbeak by the way, the paint job is fantastic.

More i transorm my figures (yeah it's that time of the year again), more i think we should get at least more scout cars. it would make so much easier to keep things in scale, too. Bumblebee for example, we got legends, deluxes, voyagers (HA at least), a leader and even an ultimate of him, yet not even one scout.

Scouts in the mainline, to be exact, so it's not just exclusive to non-screen randoms and redecoes like it was. Bring it back to Cybertorn where they were actual characters of semi-importance.

Too late! Some of the Deluxes out now appear to be slightly larger Scouts.....

Wrong. Even the smallest PRID deluxe has double the bulk of a scout.

Cmon...not this pissin match again. Deluxes got a lot smaller, the way they utilize the alt mode allows for a bigger bot mode...bit if you weight them, scouts and prid deluxes are close.

I miss scouts too. I want to go back and get some of them I passed on now.

    Not Wrong, my Opinion..........

The shrinking size of the figure is one of the main reasons I quit collecting. I just couldn't accept paying higher prices for figures that were smaller than the ones I bought just 2-3 years before.... and it wasn't gonna change.

The figure that got me in to collecting was Basic Class BW Rattrap and now a days he would be known as a Scout so YES BRING BACK SCOUTS.

TFP Arcee would have benefitted the most from a Scout class. Her deluxe is too big and her Cyberverse is too small. Scout would have been juuuuust right.

Yeah, sorry. A weak joke and I should have seen that it would open this old can of worms again.

It is what it is. But, I do think that current Deluxes have more in common with RotF Scouts than current Commanders (heads that turn, for example), but that also says a lot of good things about Deluxes.

Opinions can be, and are in this case, wrong.

Not a pissing match. Deluxes lost 20% of their mass of materials. Which still leaves them 40-50% larger than any scout.

After standing some scout figures and some of the Power Core figures next to the Cyberverse Commanders I think it would be nice to have the scout class back again. It seems like such a versatile size class now since if the alt mode suggests a bigger bot you could use it with the Cyberverse figures but if the alt mode suggested a smaller robot you could use it with the Deluxe figures.

Plus maybe it's just me but it seemed like the scout class was far more creative with the alt modes than what we have been getting out of the Deluxe or Cyberverse figures.

It may be wrong, but it was my first thought as well. Deluxes might as well be Scouts. They're too damn small. Anyway, with shrinkage across the board, Commander sized Cyberverse are in the place of Scouts now.

Sorry, I didnt mean to say "Wrong" or anything like that. I just really meant to say, that the overall design has changed. Where before Hasbro used a big chunk of plastic to form an arm or leg, or torso, now they are hollow, and use fenders folding and such to creat limbs and such.

So with the "new" deluxes you get better design, less plastic, and smaller alt modes Compared to the older scales that used more plastic, and needed more heftier chunks of the alt mode to form bot mode parts.

Persoanlly, I dont think Commanders are a suitable comparison to Scouts. I think Commanders are really thier "own" line to compliment Legions. So I truly see scouts being sucked into the deluxe line now.

If you look at voyagers from just a few years ago Example Lugnut, That is a BIG ass plane, and a pretty big bot mode. Compare it to Prid Prime. The Prid Truck and Deluxe are not that much bigger, but the bot mode all unfolds and expands to be as tall or taller than Lugnut. But then grab each in a hand, and lugnut seems to weigh 1/2 of what Prime does.

As for scouts..I just do not see anyway they could bring these back at any EFFECTIVE pricepoint. Commanders are alot smaller that deluxes and they are $10. Deluxes are going over $15...For scouts to be on the pegs again they would have to be..what? $12.99? I think new designed scouts are not gunna happen.

That said, I WOULD LOOOOoove to just see them take most of the scouts from the last 3 movies and just keep repainting them. Some of the scouts are really baddass. Breacher/brawl! yes..more please! Sunspot/laserbeak? Ill take a repaint Buzzsaw please! Hubcap...MOAR please! Even the Bike, Reverb is kick ass, and chopster..WOW..awesome in both modes.

I miss scouts, Im VERY happy to be able to buy these GDOs at a very fair price. I say keep repainting them and KEEP THE GDO thing going! it gives people that arent that interested in TFP stuff things to buy. Im really kinda burnt on TFP stuff, But im carpet crawlin like a crack addict for more GDO stuff.

If you really wanted to compare deluxes vs scouts..it really ranges from "not even close" (firetrap vs wheeljack) to pretty damn close (FOC Jazz vs Windcharger)

SIGH....I miss scouts on the pegs...Goin looking for more GDOs now..

I want the variety that the Unicron Trilogy had. Supremes, Ultras, Voyagers, Deluxes and Scouts. And not the same fucking characters released in all the size classes.

It wouldn't surpise me at all if in the future the Deluxe size figures were dropped completely and replaced with Scout size figures under the Deluxe class name. And at a Deluxe price.

You want small Deluxe's look at Beast Wars, Deluxe's only got big and complicated in the previous Decade.

I can't see scouts returning until they cancel Cyberverse or want to do Minicons again.

I just miss the fact that in RotF, it was a given that a Scout would have full articulation (neck, universal shoulders, bicep swivels, hinge elbows, universal hips, hinge knees).

Now the Commanders, while some really really awesome figures, are smaller, almost never have the full range that I mentioned above, and since they're smaller versions of main characters, lack the variety that RotF Scouts have (IE being anything, ever).

... also, I just wish they would bring Scouts back long enough to give us Rumble and/or Frenzy. It's amazing how many near-misses Hasbro has had with those guys.
