This game is old-school SWEETNESS! Anyone pick this up today? It's like River City Ransom on steroids! The soundtrack is fucking awesome!
Yup, and it's got the best code ever. To turn all the enemies into zombies, at the title screen, you press... Down Up Right Down Up Right Down Up Right Right Right
Yes, but consider somethin'. Love the movie or hate it, this game is not based on the movie, it's based on the comic, and has a very different look. The game is literally a spiritual successor to River City. Leveling, moves, shops, pick up almost anything. Scott Pilgrim vs The World vs PSN today! – PlayStation Blog Check out the trailer edit: Quick note too. This should be out on 360 in a few weeks as well. It's really phoking awesome.
Lol, don't worry I wasn't like "Wait they made a game based on the movie adaptation?" I was like "Holy shit really?! I need to see this!" The demo is so much freaking fun! Love that Scott's special move is the Street Fighter Spin Kick. Will definately be getting this from PSN soon. I have more space on my PS3 atm anyway.
Only warning bro, is no Online at this point. I think the developers are aware that people want it, but I guess they were going for the "hang out with your buddies on the couch and play"
This game has Twist written all over it. No really, I think I saw the word Twist written all over it. edit: All I need are some friends over and my mom to drive up from my home town to make sandwiches and punch.
I just got through the first level while waiting for Mafia 2 demo to finish. This is a damn fun game.
There are a lot of hidden doors with a crapload of money, and they can be revisited if you replay the level. One of them is in an old shack, and another one is a slideaway wall in that underpass with the rusty-colored walls.
Seems like the game I wish Castle Crashers was. Can you play on a stick? Can't see myself playing this on a pad at all. Pad baby's
Yeah, in the options menu there is also a setting for "Double tap or single tap" for dashing and side-stepping, since double tapping is a little tougher on a stick, but you can definitely use them both on the go. I also love that the game lets you revisit levels as much as you want (overworld map, yo). I love leveling up your character and building up cash (which you can borrow from eachother in coop).
Something I love about this game is the music. It's just as awesome as you said. While playing the demo I realized that it got more intense and epic half way through the level. Love the references too. Found a mystery shop in the underpass selling two games: Never-Ending Fantasy and Spiney the Porcupine.
What type of game is this? Hack and slash or Streets of Rage style? I can't visit gaming sites at work and nowhere is giving a clear description.
