Damnit Casey Kasem died just yesterday!

And it's only been ten years since the first one! What're they going to do, feature Vincent Price and Scrappy-Doo?

I hope they'll take the all CGI route and make it have a tone that's similar to Mystery Incoporated and Zombie Island.

I hope they dedicate it to Casey.

I'd rather they just make it animated and use the current voice cast.

AHHHHHH YES! Scooby's coming back for a second round. Too f*cking excited. I just pray they make it within the same tone as SDMI, Zombie Island, or Witch's Ghost.

If they don't, oh well. I'm still going to be excited as hell.

Considering how it's a live-action reboot, this would be more like pissing on his grave.

    Too soon?

Maybe if it made any sense, cause I fail to see how this is pissing on his grave.

I actually think this is a great idea. I've been a Scooby fan for most of my life, but honestly, the first two live-action movies suck... They're absolutely horrible. That said, I really liked the two made-for-TV movies they did. Enough so that I would aprove of them bring that cast in for a theatrical movie. They had great group dynamics and portrayed the characters faithfully but without over-doing things.

I liked the second movie and the TV movies, so I won't criticize it just yet. However, they should have waited a bit longer to announce this considering Casey Kasem died only a few days ago and his role in the franchise.

There is some kind of Licensing Expo going on and a lot of new projects are being announced.

I don't really see how it'd be pissing on his grave. Different mediums? Not a logical argument there.

I'd like Matthew Lilliard back as Shaggy; he was good casting that I'm glad got carried over for SDMI and all current Scooby animation. And of course Frank Welker voicing Scooby.

    Warner Bros CinemaCon 2016 Presentation - ComingSoon.net

"Set for a 2018 release, the new take on Scooby-Doo has the Mystery Machine gang working for a larger organization.

“It’s really our first shot at unlocking the entire Hanna-Barbera universe,” said director Tony Cervone in a quick behind-the-scenes tease.

As long as it's not too much like what's happening in the DC Comics.
Scooby needs to be a natural talking dog, not a science experiment.
