It seems that several scenes were left out of the European release, maybe also from the US release:

* Extended Hong Kong motorcycle chase, with one of the "Cemetery Wind" operatives chasing Su Yueming and Joshua on a motorcycle
* While the part of the Nightship piloted by the Autobots fly over the Chinese Wall, a group of tourists react with amusement and take pictures
* Su Yueming encounters two Hong Kong detectives she knows from her past service in the HKPD, they later aid her to escape from Savoy and his black ops team
* Longer dialogs between Su Yueming and her KSI crew
* Optimus Prime grabs hold of the Sword of Judgement onboard the Nightship, and connects with the captured knights spirits in a VR like mode, he appears in the Sliver Knight form. Not sure if this was fully rendered by ILM

Maybe we will get to see them in the DVD release…

Interesting. Captured knight spirits? Anyone else know anything about these? First I've heard of them. Everything else seems like it'll be for Chinese theaters. Iron man 3 did a similar thing I'm pretty sure.

Who figured out these scenes were taken out? Wouldn't someone have had to watch two different versions to know this? Those scenes are pretty detailed.

 

Dance scene was also missing.

As was Attinger's "shall we get it on" scene.

 

Iron Man 3 did something similar by having exclusive scenes for the Chinese market. I would think all that you list, except the last one would be part of something similar. Anything that required ILM to do, i.e. the robots, I think should be in the US cut as well as the Overseas cuts just because of the cost involved.

 

IMAX Australia didn't see a dance scene. Hoping for an extended edition on Bluray

 

Australia normal showing didn't have a Dance Scene or end of credits (I thought there was going to be one).

 

Hopefully, we will get a snapshot of that on the blu ray disc

up until today, you have to take into account that most everyone has seen early premiers and pre-screenings. Today is officially the first day that the movie goes live in some portions of the world. So maybe this stuff will be in the final cut now or as you said, they will hold most of it for the Blu ray special addition release. But that OP silver knight scene would explanto everyone how OP gets the armor change lol.

 

Also I wonder if the Mandarin only speaking TF is also only in the Chines cut?

 

Just found out my local theaters have a 9pm showing tomorrow.

It must be for the Chinese release. A shame, it'd go down well in English-speaking countries as well. But I can understand trimming a film that's more than 2 hours.

 

I'm curious. Up until this thread, I didn't hear anything about these scenes.

 

Only scene that actually should have been kept is this scene - though I feel that scene would be pointless as Prime fights the Dino's for supremacy anyway.

Still prefer the fan idea of Optimus's paint being burnt away to reveal his silver metal.
