Lines are recorded for just the trailers all the time.

And maybe they could've saved the dancing scene for after the credits or as a mid credits scene?

The dance scene is in the same building all the Autobots are in planing their raid on KSI. And bee is in his old Camaro look so it would not be end credits stuff.

Godzilla was the first time I've seen trailer exclusive scenes for misdirection.

Nope. There was a promotional clip with alternate version of Sam/Bumblebee garage scene in ROTF with some additional shots with Bumblebee, and it wasn't in the movie either.

    EDIT:

Oh, it was mentioned already. Anyway, it's included in my fanedit ;)

    Duh.

If they went through the trouble of rendering it, they could just place the new Bumblebee model over the classic one, like they did with Shockwave and Sentinel for the Burger King commercial.

The one I saw was also around 2hrs 27mins but that was till the start of the end credits. The credits probably takes up another 15 mins or so..

Nope, that shot is definitely the Sonic. Look how nice and clean the frame of the window is, its also a very dark color as opposed to the bright and beat up blue of the blue 4x4 at the end of the movie.

I had no idea they even filmed a bunch of stuff with Leadfoot. Maybe they thought audiences wouldn't remember him so they cut it for time. Seems like an odd thing to do when I'm guessing they probably did a bunch of pyro work when they filmed it unless they just wanted to do it all with CG.

    Is this footage on youtube?

There wasn't any footage allowed to be shot on the set with leadfoots vehicle. Only 1 picture of leadfoot and 1 picture of bumblebee were posted, as well as some fan reports from on set. And I believe they edited the leadfoot scene because bee was also supposed to be in it, but they may have wanted to save bees appearance for later

I was honestly expecting the Bumblebee/Tessa dance scene as a post-credits scene as something humorous and playful after not seeing it in the Chicago scenes. Just to show some stuff they did while there.

The movie is already almost three hours long. What harm would it have done to keep these scenes?
