So, I remember watching this trailer/TV spot a while ago:

and laughing at the part where Bumblebee was dancing with Tessa, but I just realized that it was never in the final cut of the film. Were there any other scenes that didn't make the cut that you felt kind of "cheated" out of, since those scenes WERE used in the promotional media?

 

as far as I can tell, that's the first time CGI we've seen prior to a film releasing was cut from that film

I noticed a few scenes also.. they had TJ Miller's character in the Blue 4WD in Hong Kong saying 'were in alot of trouble' in the Trailers/TV Spots but he died long before then lol

 

They cut out some of the shot of optimus getting shot the first time, instead they showed it from a different angle. Also this wasnt in the trailer, but they obviously cut out some of leadfoots death scene, because he was seen in vehicle mode driving around near bumblebee on set

 

That shot was in the Sonic.

 

Yeah just looked up the 'help' TV Spot and you're right... Just seemed like it at the time because of the blue.  

 

You know, there seems to be a trend in movies to produce CGI for the trailers. I noticed it quite a bit with Godzilla. There were several shots in the final film that contained MUTO that had different, MUTO-less shots. Examples include:

• The panning shot of Las Vegas (the female MUTO is still walking through the city in the movie)
• The shot inside the shelter as the door closes (Godzilla is fighting the male MUTO in the movie
• Ford's POV during the HALO jump (Godzilla is fighting one or both of the MUTO in the film)

In the case of AOE, I suspect it was just a last minute cut.

 

Maybe they thought robots dancing would have been out of place, seeing as how they just learned their friends were killed by humans

 

I don't remember Optimus saying "we need a new army" and the part when he bitch slaps grimlock he says something instead of that really intense scream.

 

Yeah he done that scream when shooting Lockdown's ship during the magnet scene though.. They just used it for Trailer when slapping Grimlock lol

 

Yes, that intense scream was used elsewhere when Optimus was shooting at the ship's magnet beam.

I'll be honest, Godzilla was the first film I really noticed it in. I mean, I've seen trailers use different takes that aren't in the final films or scenes that were cut, but with Godzilla, it was apparent that they made special shots just for the promotional materials to underplay the MUTO. I say underplay because we did see them, although breifly, in trailers. Just no explaination as to how they tied into the story.

 

Yeah he said it when starting up the ship to escape from Lockdown's one. I think.
