Okay, so scale was all over the place in G1 (especially Season 3) but that was mostly animation errors and weirdness. I'm in the middle of watching Victory for the first time, and Transformers are constantly drawn the size of skyscrapers (even Micromasters) in relation to humans. Everyone is SO BIG. Except when they're not.

 

Transformers don't really have a set scale in general.

Also those aren't micromasters. The Autobots are a combiner team called the Multiforce, and they basically work like how the autobots powerlinx in energon. There are really six autobots in that picture. Three are legs and the other three are the upper half. When they combine to make Landcross, they all merge together.

As for the Dinoforce, they are giant when they are in the Dinosaur form. The bots and cons in victory are relatively large.

 

And even if you ignore that, one of them clearly has the parts of a space shuttle, which is pretty big compared to humans and houses.

Besides, when has a series like Transformers given a damn concerning scale? (Aside from the Bay movies.)

 

Oh they're large alright. Leozack is the size of a skyscraper. The Dinoforce are substantially larger than the original Dinobots. It just blows my mind how big everything is all of a sudden, especially coming off Masterforce where most of the bots and cons were (pretty consistently) much, much smaller.

 

Scale is totally fucked in general though.

 

I mean if we are really looking at scale, shouldn't Blast off, bruticus's arm be massive compared to the rest of his body?

 

Scale bad in Transformers. In other news, water wet.

 

Not only that, but with a tank and a huey as his other limbs, one might expect poor jeep-sized Swindle to be the stumpy leg that's thigh-length to the others when measuring from the hip. Bruticus' scale is just a festival of problems.

 

Victory does a largely good job with Robot mode scale, tiny bots are tiny against the larger bots, we never see Galaxy Shuttle standing shoulder to shoulder with anybody who isn't also ginormous.

Yeah, alt mode sometimes gets played with a bit, but that's almost entirely Holi's team for rescue operations.

The Dinoforce are huge, while the Multiforce are not.

And the big ones- Ginrei as Super or God, Overlord, Black Zarack- really felt big!

 

No. Vehicle mode scale is irrelevant when it comes to combiners - they all grow or shrink so that they fit properly. But Superion should tower over Menasor simply because jets are larger than cars.

 

This is why im waiting for an upscale masterpiece star saber. That figure is too small

 

He's really pretty accurate. MP Wheeljack and MP Star Saber are pretty close in relative height to their appearance together in Victory. Saber was about the size of a carbot. Star Saber fought combiners like Dinoking, but Dinoking was a small combiner. Check this scale chart taken from The Complete Ark book.

Mp starsaber is mp Magnus height. So looking at that i say no way man! That figure is too small. Star saber isnt wheeljack height. I wont buy it at all man, crazy talk. It should be cw devastator size. The figure that goes inside of it should be 8 or 9 inches tall as far as im concerned
