I've been wanting for sometime to have some human figures that are in the same scale as the Movie Autobots, preferably, cheap, realistic looking and articulated. So what are your thoughts?

Well, I have a few ideas, but none of them are quite what you're looking for.

Warhammer 40K Imperial Guard miniatures: They're fairly realistic (probably not contemporary enough, but conversions would be simple enough) and seem to be close to the right size. Unfortunately, they have no articulation, but a mod might be possible.

Historical wargaming miniatures: While I haven't seen any in the flesh, I imagine they'd roughly share the pros and cons of the 40K miniatures.

Lego men: They seem to have about the right height and some articulation, but are obviously not at all realistic.

Mega Bloks figures: Never seen any in the flesh (so to speak), but I've heard they're more realistic and better articulated than Lego men.

The figures from those movie scene packs: I'm assuming you've already thought of these, so I won't bother describing them any further.

Thanks for the suggestion nintendo freak, I'll check those warhammer figs.

Those victims look great but they are just too dramatic and non articulated.

True. But there really just seem to be two scales to work out between the vehicle mainline.

There is the Oversized Autobot Car scale: Leader Brawl, Deluxe Jazz, Deluxe Bumblebee, Leader Optimus Prime Ratchet, Leader Megatron, Voyager Ironhide, Voyager Ratchet etc.

And then there is the Undersized Decepticon War Machine Scale: Bonecrusher, Blackout, Voyager megatron, Deluxe Wreckage, Voyager Starscream, Deluxe Brawl and Voyager Optimus prime.

For the Autobot Car Scale use GIJoe Sigma 6 small scale (2.5 inch tall) figures.

And micro machines millitary series figures for the Undersized Decepticon War Machine Scale:

The articulated figures in that range are going to be star wars action fleet. (Their Jawa is the smallest posable action figure in the world) Or war planets. But I'd recommend the micro machines troops because the scale is right, their realistic, and have plenty of interesting molded poses.

Really hard to find articulation in that small of a scale. And with the Transformers scale being all over the place it makes it even harder since with the Autobots you could get by with about a 2.5" figure but you'd need a really small figure for some of the Decepticons.

Might be best to just drop the need for articulation and just go for figures that are going to look right next your Transformers.

    I presume a deluxe prowl?

use Legends Prowl as a rider then.
Perfectly posable for the scale you need. " its not knocking them down that's hard its getting them to stay down...."
