It's funny, I actually consider the Optimus v Sentinel fight the worst climactic battle in all the movies and only find it interesting when Megatron helps out in the end. I think maybe it is because when I first saw it I was soooo pissed off what they did to shockwave I just kinda lulled through the rest of the film.

That scene with Sam and his dad in the Egypt battle. Considering how eager his dad was to ship him off to college, seeing him try so hard to keep his son safe was heartbreaking. Kevin Dunn acted his jowls off in that scene, and damn did it show. If you ever had to leave your parents for college or whatever reason, odds are this scene made you tear up a little bit.

Also the forest fight, but shit, everyone loves the forest fight. ISIS loves the forest fight, and those guys are dicks.

I agree, sam's dad's speech was very poetic, didn't fit in to the rest of the film. And megan fox and her terrible acting ruins it literally one second later when Sam tells her to go with his parents and she says the extremely forced line "I'm not gonna go without you."

I STILL don't know what the hell he combines into... a dragon? Would it have been so hard to make him look a LITTLE bit like Devastator? I though the pretender inclusion was kind of cool, as I had a few of those as a kid and wondered what they would be like in real life.

    Yeah. :/

I still can't believe Megan Fox is still getting work as a an actual actress.

If this was a better movie Sam's dad's speech would have been the crowning moment of awesome.

This is the only film off the top of my head to make me feel uncomfortable just watching it. That's an achievement.

In all seriousness, the score is freakin' amazing. And the special effects, especially the forest fight and Optimus vs. The Fallen, are phenomenal.

The only thing I was excited to see in the movie was Devastator.

It's funny how many of these "positives" are RotF's sparse character centric moments. Even the (truly awful) Forest Fight hinges on "I'll take you all on!"

But people don't like those parts in movies, just when they go whiz-bang, right? ;)

I adore, positively adore the designs of the Constructicons in this one. Demolishor the gigantic unicycle of destruction, Long Haul the Juggernaut (bitch), Rampage the magical pogo stick of tread-whipping fun, Mixmaster the shield-armed cannon-back and Scrapper's cool claw/flail arms. And of course, Devastator as this gargantuan all-devouring monster. Execution could have been better for him, but his concept is phenomenal. And while we didn't see them, concept art of Hightower as a crane-dinosaur thing and Overload as a multi-limbed crab fuck looked pretty hardcore as well.

Long story short, if other continuities had Constructicons as (or more so!) diverse and outrageous as this lot, I'd be pretty fucking impressed.

Jerfire deserves his own prequel/ spinoff (his origin story) film.

A very clever and disturbing idea about TFs being capable of impersonating humans.
Unfortunately, the same idea was spoiled with a very bad and cliched execution.
