Okay so, thinking over everything that we know about her, how the Autobots function, I think that I’ve got a good working theory as to who/what Sari Sumdac is She’s a swiss army knife construction minicon. Her weapons can actually very easily translate over to Construction. Her Blades: Steel Cutters. Hammer:….way too many possible uses. Energy Blasts, clear away debris/rock Jump Jet Boosters: Reach high heights easily in order to get work done faster. Shield: Probably a feature added by the next part of my theory. Ability to “read” machines, Medical and Construction use, able to figure it out in a matter of seconds so the jobs done much faster. Megatron found out about the new Minicon type and ordered the prototype to the prototype to be stolen and it was. He intended to use it/copy it to build machines of war and maybe even upgrade it to do repairs. However due to the Protoform’s unique nature he couldn’t get it to function properly and as such left it up to Blackarchnia to crack once she came along. Now given that Blackarchnia is obsessed with finding ways back to normal she ended up modifying the ptotoform to accept organic DNA and hopefully it could then scan and find a way to fix her. Before leaving new Kaon to go Allspark hunting though, Megatron installed a sensor into the protoform and placed it into a pod/rocket. In the event that he’s damaged/ near death he’ll send the signal that’ll send the prtoform to him, since he believed that Blackarchnia did her job correctly, Once it got to his location it could repair him. As we all know, this didn’t go according to plan. What eventually happened was that while probing through Megatron’s systems, Sumdac activated the homing device and the protoform shot off into space. Lugnut was one of the few witnesses and this truly convinced him that Megatron was still alive. The Protoform eventually made it’s way to Earth where once it was in Sumdac;s lab, Blackarchnia’s old system activated and..the rest is history
Not bad, though I prefer the theory that it was one of the pods gettisoned by the Axalon before it crashed landed on earth some 4 million years ago. The pod must have somehow avoided the quantum wave whne the planetbuster blew (or it got trans-warped into the future), and after planetfall it scanned Dr. Sumdac as the first available DNA source. In this way, Sari truly is his daughter in the sense that she has his DNA, but is cybertronian by original design. -Kronatron
Didnt DJW confirm at one point that there was no Beast Wars in the Animated universe, though? Although, who knows where Primal Major and Alpha Supreme ended up after they fell into a blackhole
I was under the impression that all of these gadgets and abilities were a biproduct of bonding with the Allspark key. She didnt have any of them before she plugged in, and the key was shown to be able to read machines, fix them and do all this crazy magic with them. The key also gave soundwave a bunch of new powers and gadgets when Sari plugged it into him.
Though there were definite nods to it: Blackarachnia and Wasp(inator), the protoform pod; a gorilla, rat, cheetah, and rhino looking at BA after she gets zapped to who-knows-where/when, Rattletrap and spittor on Cybertron...there are probably others I've missed. -Kronatron
That's actually a really good theory. It also means that, although some amount of luck was involved, it was through Megatron's own schemes that he was resurrected after in Home Is Where the Spark Is.
She budded off of Megatron and is the next evolution in Transformers, Autobot/Cybertronian born minicons have been confined by Ultra Magnus and the Elite Guard to Kaon for their safety and the Decepticon ones are slaves in the Decepticon camps. as for the Autobots, they were in stasis lock.
