In the last episode Sari told her dad that there was a reason that she was supposed to go to the moon and help the autobots. Then when she got there she found a protoform. And said something along the lines of, this is the reason i was supposed to come. Then nothing happened after that. Is this one of the storylines that was just left hanging, or did i miss something.

 

i think it was an attempt to bring closure to the Sari story line, it wasn't that satisfying to me though it felt half hearted and more should have been said

 

wish they went in more detail about that. I mean that would have been nice to know.

 

I personally think it was a plotline they intended to extend upon during a forth season, if it ever went that far. But obviously it never got that far, and they had to wrap it up best as they could (IE, having Sari and the other Autobots rescue the protoforms from the moon.)

 

I bet it was talked off-screen like many other things of importance.

 

there was no closure! the ending was a lie! ... still praying (and rallying) for a fourth season. this... is far from over... (goes to chew off CN's ear with complaints...and rally more people to help do so)

but in total honesty, among the overall rushed feeling of of the 'final' episode, the emotion was focused more on Prowl and Starscream (at least to his fans) drama of dying...or offlining... however you want to phrase it. Sari's 'closure' was quickly forgotten and kind of lost. i think the majority of fans were not really paying attention to her... besides, with all the loose ends, i am having serious doubts about this being the end. i mean, Sari is a trans-organic right? is she going to stay on Cybertron, and of course

*What about Ultra Magnus?
* They threw Megatron in the stockades...with other Decepticon prisoners.... huh.... wow, that doesn't scream 'break out and try to conquer cybertron' (which has been proven to be fairly easy to do with Wasp)
*Lugnut Supreme on Dinobot island... with a Constructicon... again, does anyone else not see the flashing neon sign that screams Devastator?
*Optimus and the gang formed a family with Sumdac... at least that's what he said in Transwarped. I don't think they are staying on Cybertron, i think they and Sari will go back to Earth to be a family.
*Optimus is not in the Elite Guard...and apparently can't be unless they clear up the whole thing with Elita One (BA).
*Where the heck are BA and Waspinator? Kinda left a loose end...
*Team Charr is still out there somewhere. They apparently kick skid plate. yeah... big boom+ stackades= Megetron free. no brainer.
*Dinobots... what did they just leave them there on the island?
*The rest of the Allspark. Prowl (before dying ever so heroically) said that they didn't have enough fragments of the Allspark... that must mean that they are out there in Detroit somewhere.
*Starscream... has he ever actually died for good in ANY transformer series (not that i've seen anyways) I doubt he's gone for good.


That's all i can think of right now. still, too many loose ends to tie up in 5 minutes, which they tried to do. I personally think they are going to make a fourth season, and give REAL closure to Sari and the protoforms. and... hopefully... pull a Beast Wars and bring Prowl back as the Allspark's messenger!   i can hope...

Circumstances cannot always be helped, even if they were caused by some idiotic mishandling in the beginning.

"Hey, how about if we release the first toys not until second season!? Duuuhhhn!"

I agree that there was a serious lack of closure to the series due to Season 4 not panning out. That said, Endgame definitely had definitive ending feel to it so that if Animated ever does return, I think it'll be as a sequel series like Beast Machines.

-Even if they didn't show Ultra Magnus, I think the knowledge that he's alive is generally enough.
-Wasp didn't break out; he was secretly set free by Shockwave.
-Devastator, if there is a sequel series, but like I said, only then.
-To the contrary, I firmly believe that Optimus and his crew have permanently returned to Cybertron, with Sari with them. They might set up a Space Bridge system between the two planets to make travel easier but that's what I believe.
-There is no way in heck that Optimus's old failures are going to to continue to be a problem after he was the one who defeated Megatron. I firmly believe that the series has reestablished Prime as back on being on the track to becoming Supreme Commander like in G1.
-BA and Waspinator was a cop out loose end.
-Not just Team Charr - Skywarp and Thundercracker, Swindle, Soundwave and Laserbeak, Lockdown, BA and Waspinator... there are plenty of Decepticons still out there in the event of a sequel series.
-Dinobots... yup, more or less.
-Not Detroit. Skywarp and Thundercracker are in space. Omega Supreme is back online. Sunstrom and Ramjet are in the stockades. And they never showed Allspark shards getting ripped out of Femmescream, Wreck-gar, and the Constructicons.
-If Starscream comes back in a new series, I say it will be as a ghost.  

And that's all I can reply to. It really is a pity how the show was cut off prematurely, but that's the way things go.

totally agree, but i still hope they do... something with it. i have no idea what, but something. please nothing like beast machines... god that series.... (shudders) i reject your reality and substitute my own! XDDD no but seriously, I would like to see Devastator and what happened to the Dinobots. I think it would be kinda of irresponsible for the Autobots to just leave them there. Still believe that Megatron's going to break out some how. I just can't see the Autobots executing someone. it's just not... well, you never seen it before! I doubt they would start now! besides, it's a great plot device to start out with the next season/series. (i can dream. don't crush my dreams.)

 

why should we shackle animated to failed polices of the past?

Also, enough about Team Chaar. They appeared in Transwarped and never again and people have been demanding new stuff since.

As for Sari and the Protoforms and... well, all the other unresolved plot lines, you have three hopes

1: Botcon comes around and SUPRISE, they were just joshing you, there really will be a 4th season ha ha yeah right.
2: Botcon comes around, and the staff answers the questions on these plot hooks, giving spoilers since the show is dead. Or they publish a comic with it, same diff, only one earns money.
3: You learn to move on.

 

4: When the Botcon Hasbro/CN who-is-handling-animated table comes out, doesn't give teh answers we want to here... massive tackle from crowd. Security is powerless. Overwhelms them and forces them to make a fourth season. (mwhahaha)
