Alternate Mode - MI-24V Hind (Crocodile) Russian-based Attack Helicopter.

Sandstorm originally came to Earth along with his other partners of the Wreckers team in search of the enemies lookouts and to destroy them. Sandstorm and his team emblaze themselves with Decepticon faction emblems to blend in with other Decepticons to find thier bases and strike them in surprise attacks. While Optimus Prime and his unit were battling Decepticon forces in Egypt, the Wreckers team were fighting nearby in a different country looking for Decepticons as military units. Sandstorm is an elite spy, a heavy war fighter, a fast flier, and an intelligent member. He is adept in middle range combat armed with his twin large cybertronian gatling guns, rockets, and close combat with his rotor blade weapons. Armed to the teeth, his weapons can shred a Decepticon in half from far away and not many Decepticons live to warn of thier existence. Sandstorm hopes to finish the war with the Decepticons and wear his Autobot emblem again with his fellow comrades.

General characteristics

Maximum speed: 735 km/h
Known Armaments:
1x 12.7 mm Yakushev-Borzov Yak-B Gatling gun on chest
1 x Four Barreled Cybertronian oversized Gatling Gun with explosive chemical rounds capable of instant high heat melting of enemy armor and exploding the surrounding area. Mounted on right arm.
1x Multi Barreled Cybertronian oversized Gatling Gun with multiple armor peircing warheads on each bullet fired. Mounted on Left arm.
Both gatling gun weapons makes a storm like noise when fired and noted as a "blazing hellstorm" among his comrades.
2x PKT door mounted machine guns in Alt. Mode.

External Wing mounted Armaments: (Cybertronian technology modifed weapons with anti-cybertronian armor warheads and homing abilities)
4x S-24 240 mm rocket /or
4x B-8V20 Rocket launchers
2x 9K114 Shturm Missiles in pairs

Close Combat Armament:
1x Lower right leg mounted tail rotor. Used as a spinning cutting weapon during drop kick attacks.
5x Large main rotor blades. Used as a blade weapon while performing 180 degree spin attacks. Blades can be removed to be used as a sword or parry weapon.
2x Rear turbine engines. Used as a jet blast weapon to push enemies away or to scorch them in close combat with reverse thrust.

Burst Attack: Sandstorm fires a devastating attack with all weapons including missiles, rockets, gatling guns and rear mounted propeller blades merge with engines to form a dual high energy plasma cannon.

Burst plasma cannon charging. Left mounted cannon is a dual high energy plasma cannon while the right is a triple high energy plasma cannon. Capable of annihilating most high speed targets and medium size targets in one shot.

lol I was going to make him a triple changer, but in the real world, some vehicles don't have much parts to make another vehicle unless its really big. After researching most of Sandstorm toys were not triple changers and that lead me to the decision of keeping him in one mode.

I am planning to do mostly aerial bots/wreckers as a side thing so stay tuned! I'll be working on the Wreckers, including Springer, plus other aerialbots like AirRazor and Waspinator.

Oh great, now that the deadline's coming up, the really GOOD stuff's coming down the pipes  

 

lol I think everyone is really polishing their works as the deadline is getting near. I'm working on more art of Sandstorm to have him compete with other guys, but I think what comes down to people voting is the popularity of the original character, the design, color, volume/mass, and plenty artwork. Honestly, I'm happy so far, but lets do our best man, your Grimlock is by far the best Grimlock here!  .

 

i think the judges are gonna have an extremely hard time picking out just one winner. alot of these guys are spot on movie-accurate. yours is no exception.

I just love the face, It is badass, very original yet still movie-esque. Its says "Im going to rape you!". Kudos on this guy, its realistic and advanced enough to be a movie TF, while still retaining your own unique style. reminds me of the transformers/G.I. Joe WWII comic. Excellent work!

 

fuck, man. This contest has so many designs that should be in one of the movies, but this is definitely the best!
