ALAN TUDYK AS PRIME

 

I wasn’t interested in this show at all until I saw the voice cast. Now I’m totally into this.

 

Could they not get Cullen?

 

I’ll say it again; PLEASE let Nemesis Prime be in the show and if so, have Tudyk use his “Harley Quinn” Joker voice for him!

 

Alan Tudyk as “Optimus Prime”

...I did not see that coming.

 

Optimus is now a leaf on the wind...

 

Does anyone else think that Alex Malto looks like he was designed in the Sims game?

It's actually okay for different people to play rolls over the course of 30+ years.

Especially when Alan Tudyk isn't just some rando.

 

I\'ve been interested since the first announcement but I thought this was going to be on Nickelodeon not paramount+ ugh. 

 

Some surprising actors there, particularly for Optimus and Megatron. A famous comedian on one end, and an actor known for his gruffness on the other.

 

Holy hell, Tudyk Prime and Pudi Bumblebee?

I dig it. It seems like the roles would suit them. Makes more sense then my fan casting of Giancarlo Esposito as Prime anyway.

 

I love the fact that we will have the chance to dub the hounds speeches over onto megatron. This is going to be glorious!

Though from the way they word things with Megatron I'm wondering if he's going to be the Mandroid whose the villain. Megatron is more worded like he an Optimus have forged a truce.

 

“He’s a headstrong idealist but isn’t unwilling to adjust his strategy when victory hangs in the balance.“

Ohohoh, I really want to see this version of Megatron properly utilized in the show.

 

Cissy Jones? Zeno Robinson?? Consider my interest piqued!

 

Wait, Dutch is Prime?!

But seriously, it's great to see so many people I've actually heard of in the voice cast. Although the Earth born Transformers having human surnames is a bit weird.

 

There\'s a lot to pique my interest here. I\'m happy to give it a shot but I haven\'t really loved a Transformers cartoon since the Beast era.

 

Alan Tudyk as Optimus was unexpected, but he\'s not that bad

 

Of all the potential actors and voice people to cast as Optimus Prime, Alan Tudyk would've been one of the last people I would have expected, but I can't say it doesn't work. It sounds odd to me now, but in such a way I could imagine easily getting used to it if I heard it enough, like Garry Chalk or David Kaye. He's doing a good enough job portraying a character, and not trying to imitate Peter Cullen, which is a bit of fresh air in itself.
