Upon closer inspection I don't think they retooled shit. I think we have another case of Hun-Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr vs. Sliverbolt.

These all look GREAT - yet at the same time I'm realizing I've reached the point in collecting where I don't necessarily need two of the same character, and that most versions I own still hold up very well. I don't need another Chromia or Hound or even Ultra Magnus. Especially that Magnus looks so so so good.

It makes me feel a bit bittersweet - it's good on my wallet and space, but it also means I'll skip half, if not twothirds of the line depending on what's coming out.

For now: I'll take that Ironhide and Sideswipe. :)

Pretty sure Cog is his own Deluxe, as seen in the Amazon leaks and teaser video. He breaks apart into weapons for other bots. His parts won't actually come with Sideswipe.

Yeah, looking through pictures I'm finding I'm in the same headspace. I hope we get repaints down the road, I like some of the molds I'm seeing but I don't need another Sideswipe, Hound or Ultra Magnus. Maybe we get a Deep Cover, Detritus, or a remold of Ultra Magnus into like, RID Ultra Magnus!? I dunno. The little micromasters aren't doing anything for me, Chromia is a remold of a toy I have as a character I have, is Ironhide a remold of Kup? That might be kind of cool, but I do really really love Prime Ironhide.

Maybe I can convince myself to swap out Ultra Magnus, it does look super good...

I guess I'm ok with the line, but I'm a little bummed that it Hasbro doesn't seem to have a unified play pattern vision anymore, it's what made CW so good, and then Titans Return my favorite line ever, so good to see the toys all be able to integrate together.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I'm not sure what to make of the War For Cybertron stuff. I know these are mostly painted prototypes so it could look better on the final toys, but I'm not a big fan of the crazy amount of greebling all over them, and the drybrushed weathering/battle damage doesn't look particularly good either.
    Don't give a hoot about the Micromasters/weapon guys personally, but I still think it's a great play-pattern.
I want to like Ironhide, a Voyager of him has been on my wishlist pretty much since I started my CHUG collection but, I dunno, this just isn't scratching that itch.
Sideswipe's the only one I'm really considering getting so far.

Depending how the rest of the line turns out looks like I might be tapping out of collecting Generations for a while.

After a closer look at WFC Magnus, the trailer even share some similar design/homage to the RID Ultra magnus's trailer part!

I want to see the real figures though, not painted one, they look amazing, but they are not the one that are going to mass retailers!

    The line looks very promising!

Love the early Classics vibe it has going. Almost like a mix of Studio OX and early Generations line designs with all the added detailing to the sculpts. Love all the very G1 faithful robot modes. Let's see some 'Cons at the panel now!

Sideswipe with Cog looks cool. I'm just finally happy that we get a Sideswipe toy again

Oh, I agree - I see no shared parts. Feet transform differently, different knee cap, arms and chest are different, etc.

For what it's worth, I wouldn't worry too much about the battle damage paint on these for now as they're all handpainted over what is already a thick layer of paint on prototypes (as you said yourself). For retail, I think they'll either go with a proper drybrushing effect (like Studio Series Grimlock) or swirly plastic like on the Beast Hunters toys but done right. Done right I say! :p

Ultra Magnus has an inner robot? Damn, that's awesome. WFC looks really great so far.

I had no interest in getting another Ultra Magnes, but seeing the WFC UM's alt mode resembles the RID one sold me on the figure.

The battle damage looks a bit better in these pics, although they overdid it a bit on some of them.

Ultra Magnus is a magnificent beast. Definitely a must for me.

I wasn't planning on getting any micromasters, but Flak & Bigshot look pretty great.

Still hoping we get a clear pic of Cog in robot mode.
