Don't get me started on what they could repaint 80's style for PW3 and call it a BB movie toy...

Easy to get confused between similar toys when you're in a rush and there's a lot going on. I've done it and pulled the wrong name out my head plenty of times.

gold but it stands out too much on the blue a silver would of made him look better and more different than Red Evil Cassette Robot that's how i feel but i will still pick this up

 

If I had Red Evil Cassette Robot I would pick this up, but I passed on him in favor of my Takara set of the legend class tanks.

I know it probably won't happen, but I'd love to see a yellow version of Bumblebee's AOE evasion mode pop up in the Bumblebee movie.

But you should also be aware that designs already done means sketches. Not physical samples. Likely Ultra Magnus is from one of those sketches but his version probably had the POTP stuff removed in the physical copy versions and never produced to hold any of the POTP things. Though we can hope it might hold a matrix, the trailer doesn't flip open like the movie Magnus does for his matrix with how the trailer was made. Like the difference between the Rodimus sketch and the production version/prototypes. A design sketch doesn't mean that's what the toy will be or may not even get to the physical creation process as is. It's the earliest step in creating a toy. A design sketch is the cheapest part of the process. It doesn't mean the toy is missing something, it means that part never got designed into the toy past some concept sketches.

I'd be willing to bet based on the interviews from yesterday both stating that they did prelim work on all the options for the potp poll and that they have plans to keep reusing the armor/evolution leader class gimmick that we'll get a leader Star Saber in part 2 of WfC trilogy. I think Siege will stick more traditional American g1 as a starting point but that we'll see some greater branching in part 2. Like I see Star Saber being the 'premiere' leader class guy in that line the way Magnus is for this line. And almost certainly we'll get a Deathsaurus in there too! Like those two have both gone from "maybe some day..." to "within the next two years" in my head.

 

Most people are gunning for Star Saber (I want one too), but reading that stuff from John Warden, I feel really cheated out of Arcana Magnus (Arcee Prime.) The name alone sounds epic but also, I would have voted for her if other people didn't seem to favor Hound.

At least Magnus is getting made — making Star Saber more likely with the armor gimmick — and there's a Hound coming even if it's not the scale I wanted.

But it seems now that they are focusing on scale, rather than adapting characters by year and bringing in classic gimmicks? That's probably the worst news that I have heard yet. (At least this raises the chance of Voyager Shockwave, although it makes me yearn for a Voyager Brawl.) Not really into this "repeat everything, except greebly, with dumb alt modes and looking like it was thrown at a tree" route they are going with.

And if they are going with personality to determine the amount of damage painted on, how come Hound apparently has more than Sideswipe? Sideswipe is reckless, whereas Hound is more meek.

You know, seeing those Cog pictures made me think that I would totally love to see a Tarn in that style (as a targetmaster)!
