So I can no longer navigate through any of my photos or downloaded files on my phone's gallery app. When I bring up the app. it tries to load all icons and what not but it just lags and takes me to the homescreen again... : / (I have the 4.1.2 updated version.) I've performed a force stop from the settings, re-started, removed battery and also cleared unwanted cache.. Anyone know what I can do? I'm thinking I may have to un-install this app.
When I updated to 4.1.2 I found the Gallery to be slow but it sped up quite a bit. Do you have a lot of pics on your phone? Apparently it takes a while when you first open it to build up a library of thumbnail pics. Clearing the data and cache might be making the problem worse, because you're just making it start over again. Maybe just open Gallery and let it sit for a bit, or move any unneeded pics to your hard drive?
Yeah, you know I've got a ton of actu photos in my gallery. I was thinking of saving those photos and all other downloaded images to my USB. I was just under the impression when I got this phone that I can simply save as much data as I wanted since I purchased a 16gb micro sd. I will try this first and hopefully that should do the trick. Thx.
So it looks like my mirco SD may be faulty because I took a look at all the data saved and it ended up crashing on a PC too. I'll still be able to load my images from the micro SD to another USB and probably end up re-booting the memory from my phone somehow from settings.
What memory card were you using. I've had two SanDisk cards corrupt on me. Luckily I was able to get it off the card thru my card reader. And it would be best to replace the card too. even after a full reformat mines started to become corrupt again
Well I own a Kingston 16gb micro SD for my phone and I also have the USB reader for it. For back up I also have 2 USB's, one is a ScanDisk and the other is a Kingston. Both USB's are also 16gb. Once I remove all data from my micro I'll format it and hope for the best. I can't believe how inconvenient a micro sd can be. I bought the micro thinking I'll never have issues with it.
