Don't really care about this. I'm not sure why Springer has brought out two different unknown companies showing renders.

As an aside, the feet on this look way to small.

    Daaaaaamn, another one?

Springer seems to be a hard character to design for MP, because all four Springers (excluding OpenPlay because I can't judge their figure from a tiny render) seem to miss the mark for me. Allen comes close but isn't a knock out.

I agree, there are design elements from each one that I like, but so far Allen is, while not perfect, the one that gets the most things right for me.

    Looks decent.

I would think that all of this 3MP overlap would be telling the 3Ps that the market is becoming saturated. New companies need to be thinking MP Beast Wars or something other than G1 MP if they hope to survive, let alone thrive.

That's a nice render. It's early, but I like this one best.

    Good luck to them!

You know, I really wish someone would make a third party Springer.

It's funny you say that, I hear there is going to be one coming out pretty soon!

But in all seriousness, I remember a time when I never thought we would see Springer get a proper figure. I remember when Defender came out and I bought him even though I wasn't crazy about him. And I remember thinking, "well...this is as good as it's ever going to get." Then we got the generations mold which is pretty awesome in it's own ways but still wasn't G1. And now here we are, in the back half of 2016 and it's like every 3P company suddenly realized Springer was there.

As a kid, I pretty much only saw the movie and whatever random episodes were stuck on a VHS at the video store by the house. So stand out characters for me are movie ones (and Prime and Skyfire) and that's like it. I'm super glad we have so many options for these characters coming up, especially when it comes to Springer.

I'm pretty sure takara is going to make springer as their movie toy, I mean, I like this mold the best, fanstoys looks okay and with the renders changed, i never like anyone's offering about with the car mode, it was supposed to be this weird box car thing, copter mode looks great. I probably wouldn't even like openplay, I feel like we're going to get so many other chracter options like cliffjumper, bumblbee maybe, and I like this guy the best.

Edit: I looked more this guy and he looks to be cornered at the front of the heli mode, eh, it'll be a past, I know it isn't fianl, but that could be something to improve, good luck saltus.

I really don't want to double dip on this character. Every one but TW is in the running for my shelf space at this moment. This car mode looks really nice and I prefer the normal size calves. Just like with FT, if there arn't solid prototypes at least by the time Allen gets low in stock, he wins.

Probably 6th. TT is probably working on one too. I think it is the usual 3P trend of rushing something out to beat the official one. After a couple years of this, I think I am seeing a pattern.

I love Springer, the 1986 movie was my first introduction to Transformers. Never got my hands on one til Generations Springer came out, and if anyone could figure out how to top that figure I'm sure it would be MMC. However I have no desire for ANY of the MP versions that are coming out simply cause they'll dwarf all the other Wreckers I have available. Cmon MMC! Give us a Reformatted Saltus!!! Only slightly taller than Spartan, and I'm game. Until then, guess I'll just have to be happy with what is possibly in my opinion the best Hasbro Transformer that I own.

Has anyone seen a colored digibash of this figure? If so, could you post an image here?
