Finally put mine together, enjoy it quite a lot.

 

I know this thread is for Mortis, but I figured I'd ask: does anyone know the screw sizes for the waist joint (not hip ratchets)? I stripped the screws on my CW Prime, and will need to extract them. I'm just wondering if I should bother trying to extract the screws, or just save up for a new set. Thanks!

 

Try putting an rubber/elastic band over the end of the screwdriver this should allow grip of the stripped screw head.

 

The screws are all the same size as far as I know. If you can get the old ones out I have a few extras I could send you if you're in the states.

You can also drill them out with a small enough bit. Definitely try the rubber band trick first.

 

My rubber bands snapped in the process, so I'm kinda screwed. Just as well, I'm going to keep an eye out for ebay deals.

 

So I kinda want this set, but I know that I don't have the ability to install it. Is there anyone out there in the US (preferably in Long Island NY) that if I sent them the BC Optimus and the SND Kit, and paid for the time and effort, if they would install it for me

Hey, did the black version of this ever come out? I'm hoping it does personally, I've been holding off buying this if I could get it in black. Oh, and is the Godbomber style kit still planned to come out? I've been waiting for that as well.

Yeah, I've been waiting for that, as well, and the CW Megatron add-ons, too.

 

I was really excited for that one to come out, and then it did and the reviews showed all the clips it uses. Clips? Clips! For $200 they can do better than clips. Clips that will break in a week or a month or a year. Nat gana duit! Same reason I didn't get POTP rodimus. Those shoulder clips....nope.

Fortunately Jon and SND came up with a better design overall. My only nitpick is that the wings don't secure on as well with the rings on the cab's smokestacks. Otherwise I'm quite happy with the mold.

I've got a Minty-Fresh motormaster waiting for this as well. Another two years? No problem. I'll wait.

 

Mine is still in it's box waiting for that kit. I'm in no rush.

 

I prefer for Jon and SND to work out all the kinks before releasing sonething. I'm very happy with what we got!

 

Messed with this guy for the first time in a few months and noticed that the feathers on one of the wings were installed in the wrong order. I'm assuming it will be an easy fix, by the looks of it its only 7 screws to take out.

The black blades are in the wrong order on the one wing. Your kit might not have the issue.

 

The issue was just on mine from what I can tell and it was an easy fix, take out some screws and remember where everything goes when reassembling.

 

Anyone in Downriver Michigan or Detroit area know how to install this kit?
