This kit is intended to make CW OP awesome, and it looks well on the way to succeeding. As someone who is into the combining gimmick of Optimus Maximus, this obviously is meant to help that aspect, but will it hinder it? Do I need to get a second CW OP?

Hope the parts don't have to be removed for transformation.

It was important to me that it work in all 3 modes. When I was designing it, I tried to be mindful of where parts go in each mode, so that the combined mode doesn't suffer.

So nope, you'll only need one Prime, and I will say this: it actually also makes the combined mode a bit taller, and helps it look more proportionate. :D

Nope, other than the accessories, there's zero partsforming. :)

this looks amazing, the only nitpick i have with it is how it elongates the end of the vehicle mode. any idea of what the price will be?

I'm not sure of the exact price, but from discussions I've had, I do know it's going to be very competitive. :)

Is it possibly going to come out to less than 100?

That's a shame. How about an Ultra Magnus upgrade for Battle Core Optimus? It would look like the inner white Magnus robots in normal robot mode, and look like super mode Ultra Magnus in combined mode?

Not that I'm against this idea, but we already have an Ultra Magnus.

We have a toy called "Combiner Wars" Ultra Magnus sure, but it's not a combiner, and lacks the all-important inner white robot mode! ;-)

I'd love to eventually see a way to get Ultra Magnus for the torso, then Hot Rod, Blurr, Kup and Arcee as the limbs.

Have you even seen Ultra Magnus combine in the CW comics? CW is is mixture if different characters. You're inner robot thing is only in the G1 Toy. Not even true with the comics or cartoons.

Like I said, I'm not against the idea, but it's highly unlikely to be made.

Do I need something to exist in the Combiner Wars comics to want it?

I agree, it would be unlikely to be made... as an original toy, but as a cheap recolor of this? MAYBE.

It looks like this is the one of the two kits to get. The other one makes you remove parts and there's no mention of it still having a combined mode.

    Page 4?
"Yes, I can confirm that, other than the accessories (and you haven't seen all of them yet, because they're not all finished or in those renders), Prime has zero partsforming, across all 3 modes.

Oh yes, did I forget to mention he can still combine, too?

So basically, all the core, integrated parts are designed to have a place in all 3 modes, and to stay on during transformation. "

So if this set does well are there any plans on putting your Megatron kit into production?

I think with this one you have to remove more parts than the other one because it looks like it does a fair bit more.

But once this one has the combiner mode whereas the other one sadly lacks it-so it gives this an edge.

I love that both are actually based on two different designs, so you can choose based on looks:)

Depends what you mean by "remove parts". If you mean during the initial installation, then yes, there's a few bits of the stock figure that get replaced by the kit.

If you mean during transformation, then nope, it all stays on. :)

Yeah, during installation. Both kits seem to transform with no parts forming, but both require some bits being replaced to install the kits.

Yours has the amazing replacement feet, which add so much:)
