In that case, you might try picking up the Gamera 3 SHMA. It was hanging around at retail for a while and got discounted a few times, so that might be you’re best bet at finding one easily and possibly relatively cheaply.
Could someone more educated on the various Godzilla suits that have been used over the years tell me which suit the sculptor was going for when designing this Godzilla mini for Funko's board game? Is it just highly stylized?
Yes. And I'm not certain if the pupil-less eyes and sharp teeth are more of an attempt at stylizing it, or more of a result of the small scale. Possibly both. It looks good but I understand the game is complicated and light on fun. Any opinions?
Thanks for the input guys. It's pretty fun brawler once you can figure out the rules, which is the problem because they're kinda vague and formatted horribly. My girlfriend and I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how much damage buildings have before turning to google and having to find the official FAQ for an answer. Tons of people are having issues with the rulebook.
I hate it when games do that. You should not have to look online to figure out the rules. That happens all of the time with this one game our friend has us play called Betrayal Hill House. One time, the person who ended up being the villain was doing this infinite attack thing and when I looked it up online because I was confused, it was stated that that was a misprint in the rules and they can only do the attack once per turn.
Yeah! It might get a little repetitive after a few plays, but hopefully they’ll release an updated rules set it online and release some expansions with new monsters and board pieces/events.
Should have a very blue Godzilla in hand next week, just got the shipping notice from Premium Bandai!
Ended up getting the Rodan & Mothra set because because I didn't want to deal with Chinese mail services in its current state though luckily the set was on sale so I got it on a little cheaper price. Didn't get it because I liked it, but because I plan to kitbash Rodan to give it articulated wings. The NECA Rodan's arms are too thin to drill holes in them but the Monsterarts version is the right size to make it so. The joints of course are revoltech leftovers and I have plenty of those. The fabric for the wings is still undecided but I will consider the new paint for the figure.
Second wing joints are done. Going to touch up its paint before I go the craft shop to get the fabric.
Work continues, didn't find the fabric I planned to have, but the one I found seemed easier to handle, and I did it. Yeah, the wings look too baggy, but that's what you get when the original design used stretchy material that I couldn't get. I thought about gluing the sides to the torso but I changed my mind knowing that I might need to fix the wings in the future.
