As if I'm going to pay $90~ dollars for another figure of the same suit with NO accessories. NECA's Goji54 is perfectly fine, gonna have to pass on this one too.

Call me when SHMA goes back to making monsters OTHER than Godzilla, especially some Showa-era kaiju. : P

Aren't the derpy eyes part of the original suit?

Godzilla secured, and threw in both SHF Ultra building sets for the MonsterArts display.

The Shodai-Goji always had those eyes.

Don't get me wrong, it IS one of my minor issues with the suit, but kudos to accuracy, I guess (same goes for the Banpresto figure I have).

And yeah, I'm not an accessories kinda guy, and even I think for that price, he needs SOMETHING. I'm rather optimistic about GMK, as he might be on the same level as G2000 and make up for it with raw awesomeness, and all I could really picture GMK with is a breath effect anyway (well, and maybe a Satsuma submersible).

Hell, maybe if they make Baragon (and Mothra and Ghidorah, naturally), he can include the breath effect, like how Rodan has the battle-damaged MG'93 head and super-breath for Godzilla. It's not like Baragon would have much going for himself anyway.

But G'54 definitely could use a few things on the side. Swap out his right hand for one clutching a jet; seabed with Ogata and Serizawa in the diving suits sculpted into it; A mini Oxygen Destroyer with an opening/closing chamber; and so on.

All in all, NECA's '54 is good enough for me, so the SHMA was a pass the minute I saw it. Still trying to decide on GMK, though. NECA's prototype actually fooled me at first, making me think it was the SHMA figure. But I may go for SHMA, since I kinda want a GMK figure sculpted by Yuji Sakai.

Since when has Bandai ever cared about suit accuracy?

Just because they are suit accurate doesn't make it look good in toy form. You couldn't really see the eyes from the suit in the movie, and when they did a close up of his face, it was the puppet head, which had normal eyes. I just can't justify paying nearly $80 for something that has its eyes like that. NECA's figure is vastly superior because of that, which is a shame because I love most of what I see on the MonsterArt.

The SHMA '54 Godzilla is awesome but I really have no reason to replace the really great NECA one I got last year. Not unless it gets discounted on Amazon some time in the future. I will be getting the SHMA version of GMK Godzilla though.

Yeah, gonna have to agree with the whole "'54 Godzilla always had derpy eyes" thing. The Monsterart looks 100% spot-on from what I can see.

I was happy to see the accurate eyes on my NECA version 54...No need for the SHMA for me.

1954 is fantastic looking and they're screwing up the release by not having any accessories. Where's the train? Where's a breath effect? Where's the plane? I'm pretty sure a repaint version is going too come with something to sweeten the deal.

The act buildings look like a ton of fun for SRC and Godzilla. I hope they reissue the explosions

Same here. Got it the week it was released and have had no issues with the wings or any joints whatsoever.
The ONLY issue I had was that one of the posts on the breath weapon stand broke, but that was an accident.
Overall, I absolutely love this figure!

Next up will be Mothra for my daughter if I can ever find one for a non-insane price...

The wings are solid. Pretty tight on mine. I might have to use hair drier to warm it up to loosen it a little. Overall its great figure. I like the stand a lot.

Wings are fine on mine too. Only issue is the lowest neck joint. Mine came with one head detached out of the box and I still have not been able to "pop" it back in. It stays where I want so I suppose it is fine.
