It’s possible she’ll come with the alternate face but I wouldn’t count on it. Maybe it’s for a potential repaint into Horrorcon Blackarachnia. I’d double dip for that.

So, a question for everyone.

So now we've seen some of this line, and it's clear that they aren't aiming for 100% screen accuracy, but rather for "realistic" beast modes.

So, how would people feel if the Tarantulas from this line was IDW Tarantulas? For anyone who isn't aware, in "Sins of the Wreckers" they used a hybrid Tarantulas design. It was his Transmetal robot mode but with a fully organic Tarantula alt mode (basically a season 1 style version of his transmetal spider mode).

I think it would make for a better spider mode, and uses his more iconic robot mode. Thoughts?

 

Same.. I'm anticipating primal just as much but he's obviously going to be perfect.

Dinobot however is the most complicated BW design to put in toy form. So extremely interesting to see

 

I'm assuming not. It's usually 2 Voyagers to a wave and Primal feels like the logical choice for Wave 1 given he's a faction leader.

Only knock against him (and one that's a genuine knock) is the question of "would it be seen as too confusing to put him in the same wave as a Leader Optimus Prime repack?"

 

I'd be all for that personally given Roche's design is FANTASTIC but given the line's clear goals, I think it should probably skew closer to his S1 botmode.

 

I wouldn't be against it, but I would be very, very surprised. They are going for strictly season 1 designs with updated beast modes. They aren't going for 100% screen accuracy, but very obviously approximately screen accurate.

I wouldn't oppose it though.

 

I’d love that because at the time, I’m keeping my transmetal tarantulas, because I just think that design is leaps and bounds better than the original. But that’s just me

 

I dunno, I prefer the Transmetal version.

 

I'd fully prefer that over his season 1 deign and transmetal. But, I think we're more likely to see a 3p do it first. Hasbros going to go with show accuracy in bot mode, and sadly that aint idw tarantulas
