Im really into the toys and that would suck big time if the show was canceled before we get some of the really cool ones.

Well,Arcee and Perceptor are cool to me anyway.

I got a confirmation from a very credible source that season 3 is indeed the last season, but since I'm not sure if it's ok to reveal the source of my info, I'll let the mods decide.

 

Truth be told, I was expecting this much with the new movie. Revenge is going to blow our slagging minds and completely conquer the franchise as we know it. Hell, how can Animated make a come back after THAT? If anything, the series was just a filler between the movies, something to give the fans to think about in the mean time. It's done it's job, it was a fun ride, but bye bye Ani-Bee.

 

Because the movie is, well, a movie. Not an ongoing story.

And some fans prefer the Animated stuff, especially the toys, to the movie stuff.

 

I was hoping for a total of 52 or 65 episodes myself.

If the third is the final season, I hope most things are tied up by the end of it. Though with the typical Animated season structure , all they have to do is not set up a new cliffhanger.  

 

Though disappointed, I can understand if the powers-that-be want to stop TF Animated after season 3 in order to relaunch or reboot the franchise on TV. The big disappointment for me is not just that a great show is ending, but so are our chances of seeing toys of Animated characters like Omega Supreme and the Constructicons. There was a chance we'd see them post-movie if Season 4/5 were planned. Now it's very improbable.

 

I hope at ToyFair we will see some Season 3 toys.

That's something we'll just have to wait and see. ROTF may or may not be as well received as the first film.

 

Did you ask your source about whether any future TF series would be a renamed continuation of TFA, or yet another reboot?

Seriously, I think it's airing first in Canada or something, middle of March.

 

In Canada it airs in the middle of March, in America it airs at a currently unspecified time in March. (either before or after Canada)
