and then we'd just need a Leader Class Tarn for the "Remain in Light" villain trifecta. (i reckon out of the DJD, Tarn and Vos would be most likely to actually get toys since Tarn is a Tank and Vos a gun.)

I've been speaking on this for a while now. I honestly think that upcoming Megatron/Blitzwing mold could make a great Tarn. Knowing how HasTak think$ that would be the most cost effective way of making IDW fans happy. Size wise, Tesarus and Helex should both be Leader class size (If they ever bother) with Kaon and Vos being Deluxes. But this is from a company that still won't make G1 accurate Dinobots that aren't Grimlock in the CHUG line so charge this to wishful thinking on my part.

Note: I'm all for Tarn being a Leader class figure as well at this point. H3ll if they use Leader Class Megatron's mold for him and it's done right then I'll be on board. I could also see Kaon being a Headhead remold since the odds of him having an electric chair mode are like 0%. Tesarus and Helex could both be some form of Leader Class UltraMagnus remolds if lucky.

I remember Hasbro was considering a Blue Bacchus homage during the HFTD era but that fell through.

It would be awesome if they finally did him.

Don't you mean Dying of the Light?

Remain in the Light was Tyrest, Pharma and Star Saber.

Tarn has the best shot of getting a toy.

No. Besides we already know that the jet form will be a substantial reshell.

    Likely a digibash.

Isn't it entirely possible Overlord will have TWO titanmasters? I can't really think of any reason other than cost and...I doubt those cost much, anyway.

It's a digibash of Black Shadow's CGI art, Overlord's jet mode is a lot different to Black Shadow's, though it's pretty clear from looking at Black Shadow and the Overlord silhouette that one is a pretty heavy re-shell of the other.

I can't imagine there'll be any actual difference between the tanks beyond the deco.

Very slick digibash though, if those colour layouts are remotely close to how they are on the real thing then that'll be smashing

i made the attached comparision for another thread: I actually think the jet mold may be entirely new just based on the available details in the silhouettes: at the very lease, it will be a complete reshell on the same internal structure ala CW First Aid and Streetwise.

The biggest thing i notice is (while being admittedly hard to tell in a silhouette...) it appears to me like the engines/arms on Overlord are noticeably farther away from the core body, so he'd need a different transformation mechanism there....

since the tank is basically the original Overlord tank, i think it stays exactly the same...

The back will probably be altered to remove the wings, and the new wings will be on the arms. The two side rear fins look the same, maybe remove the central fin as part of the back redesign. Though if the silhouette is accurate, the arms look too far away from the torso to look good.

(again, it's hard to tell from this image...) i think they are different ~ Black Shadows are sharp edged and have an extra angle to them, Overlords look 'smoother' and have rounded corners.

I don't need media to carry any torch. If I thought IDW's purpose was to carry a G1 torch, I would hate it, because it does a shit job of doing that. IDW works because it's doing its own, new thing.

Look in the mirror. You're easily the most disrespectful, intollerant-of-others'-opinion person in the thread

Oh yeah, seeing that again makes me quite excited for Overlord. Yeah, if Overlord will only come with one head, then I still hope it's G1!

The thing is, if Overlord comes with only one head, you and other G1 fans will still lose, because it means you'll be missing either Giga or Mega.

Does Black Shadow have two Titanmasters? There were clearly two on display but only one in the digital renders.
