The thing with guessing which Autobot this might be is that we shouldn’t think of it in terms of who makes the most sense (as many people wanted Beachcomber for the AWE Striker), but instead what recognizable and marketable characters are left.

For Decepticons, those most evergreen and recognizable are Megatron, Starscream, and Soundwave.

For the Autobots, it’s mostly Prime and Bumblebee. There’s a few others we might draw on, which would be my guess here. My best guess is Grimlock.

Bah. I was hoping that the next announcement would be a Snowcat/Optimus or Ultra Magnus.

My dream is a Haslab Optimus Prime Rolling Thunder

As a big Joe fan who has most of the classified characters- I’m not a big fan. The idea of a retro carded figure is the big thing for me- but I still don’t have one. Love the HISS, but the Megatron combo isn’t great, and The Vamp should have been Hound.
Think a lot of Joe collectors are getting the set just for the figure as I see a lot of the vehicles on eBay.

and the vehicle mode could be Warpath, Ironhide, or sticking with the color- Grimlock could work or maybe even wheeljack?

I've been a GI Joe fan since about... 1984 or 85, and I hated both the Megatron/HISS and Bumblebee/AWE Striker. The amount of kibble they both have is complete bullshit and are the worst of the Collab line.

As for this? I'm a huge Sergeant Slaughter fan... but no. After being burned twice I'm not getting this.

Hopefully, they will pick a transformer that makes sense unlike the last one with Bumblebee. Which I thought should have been Hound, Beachcomber or Sandstorm.

Holy shit. Instant buy for me. When I was small kid, I was envious my best friend had the Triple T and Slaughter, lol.

The two Joe/Transformer X-collab vehicle modes so far are super solid and so retro G.I. Joe to the T it hurts.

Anything Transformers tied-in is gravy/an insane childhood fantasy for me.

When Hasbro does a new thing, they always start/restart with Optimus, Megatron, Bumbleebee, and Soundwave?

I not would not be surprised if Triple T’s alt mode is Optimus Prime, but Grimlock seems more likely?

Triple T Rodimus Prime, obviously, vs. Air Chariot Galvatron.

It’d be nice if we could have Generations scaled GI Joe crossovers using the Transformers budget instead of the Joe budget like the first two.

Solely in it for a new o ring Slaughter figure but I want to get into the GI Joe x Transformers but they don’t fit my collection scheme: too big. But I dunno, I love both franchises I might just cop as a one off. If they ever hit discount..

In in. Not the best Joe vehicle... but clearly chosen for simplicity: less parts, simple design, premium pricing = Hasbro happy.

Hopefully, this is to counter something more elaborate in the works? They took money out of this to put it... ?

I have to agree with the lot of you here: so far, the Joe/TF choices make bo sense at all! :lol

Well there is hint of a Soundwave/Thundermachine coming. I like to see what that will look like. I actually like the last 2 collaborations. I kept the Baroness and Stalker carded. I do wonder if Slaughter will be carded as well.

I would bet the Tripple T is Brawn. He would probably get along great with the Sarge! The colors are all wrong for Optimus, and he would be about the same size as Bumblebee/Awe Striker.

Man, I would love to do a diorama with these interacting with first edition MP Prime, Megs, plus my classic Joe stuff!

Honestly, the general shape of the tank, the grill on the front, and the likeliness that it will be a big ticket character really does feel like either Shockwave or Soundwave. I feel like either would be a great fit. I\'m not even a Joe fan but I\'d buy the absolute hell out of either.
