Here's an interesting thought to ponder. The eventual Bumblebee release of this mold will likely scale better with SS Optimus Prime than the deluxe does

 

I have a similar reaction, but will likely still get him. A lighter pink like that Takara Deluxe version would have been cool, but I’m hoping it’s a really bright metallic pink that just doesn’t translate well in photographs.  

 

I'm still surprised by this being the Laserbeak we're getting, I just never considered it lmao. I made a video discussing my thoughts on this and the other recent reveals if anyone is interested! I'll put it in a spoiler tag so that it doesn't take up too much space:

Totally agree with your thoughts on laserbeak (except I'm secretly happy it's the pink bee instead of the actual laserbeak, since I have a great figure of that design from NA Mista). I really don't like that they didn't break up the chest, but yeah considering the price point I'm pretty happy. Also agree that the pink is too red, although I'm reserving judgement for in-hand images.

Agreed that for the price point and scale it's a pretty good update over the original Legends/Legion/Cyberverse toys (which I loved and would like to see again), but for the times it's a miracle that he has elbows lmao!  

 

I actually meant to mention the NA Laserbeak, because I have that one too and its pretty much perfect for a small scale Laserbeak! Its pretty awesome. I'm with you on the pink, maybe it'll be different in person. Even if it isn't it won't be a huge deal for me though.

 

I don't quite know what you're saying, and I don't know what this all has to do with SS49. All I was saying is that it would have been good if they'd found a way to break up the chest, since I don't like the look of the entire front end of the car being one solid block. Feels too G1-ish to me. Overall I'm OK with the figure and have already said twice that I will be buying it.

I was joking about SS 49 Bumblebee's chest and how some people have said that it is inaccurate. (How they think that for the Deluxe price point I don't know  )

I know this is Laserbeak, but his scale and design is similar to the old Cyberverse Legion Bee from Dotm, so I made a crack over him (Bumblebee) not having elbows and the new mold (Laserbeak) having them.

Sorry for the confusion lol! Bad syntax on my part.
I will probably be picking him up also, maybe even two of them (one to paint as Bee just for the heck of it)!  

 

Has he actually gone up for pre-order anywhere? All the links that have tried either have not even had the item webpage, or don't have them in stock.

Pulse doesn't really pre-order Core stuff anymore as much as they do just...put it up for sale at some point in kinda small quantities, which is how I got Kingdom Hot Rod and SS86 Spike, so I assume these new ones are gonna be the same way.

The usual suspects like BBTS and Entertainment Earth have the Wheelie/Ratchet wave up for preorder right now so it might still be a second before they can preorder Laserbeak and Rumble, but I assume it'll happen soon!

They didn't want to make Bumblebee smaller. But that's not what I said. On screen scale, in alt mode, Bee's Camaro is about half the length of Optimus truck, and his height is about up to Optimus upper thigh. SS Bee is much larger than that compared to SS Optimus in both modes. But the average core class size would be pretty close to accurate scale with Optimus. So it'll probably scale better

Funny i this figure was on my mind like 10 minutes ago. Im actually surprised they made a unique backdrop art for this.

 

Ironically just got my DOTM Soundwave lol without a Laserbeak.
I didn't know this guy was starting to pop up but it's a pleasant surprise. The gaps on the Camaro are very noticeable but overall that looks great for its size. Can't wait to get mine
