Star Saber would be a leader at the very least, and a Commander at the very most.

 

My main concern is how Sky Lynx will fit in a Commander class box. He's far too large to fit in the box Jetfire came in. Y'all think that Commander boxes will be tailored to be individual bot since they never get released together?

 

There's precedent for him to have his own box. I mean, Studio Series Jetfire had a bigger box than all the other leaders due to his dimensions.

 

They could sell him partially dismantled like they've done with titans in the past maybe? Though the box tailoring feels likely honestly.

 

...That 2-5 age group grows up and starts to get into new toys. So the best way to grab their attention is to be just similar enough to the toys they liked when they were younger.

You should know this, it's why Hasbro has been leaning on the G1 stuff lately.

Considering that Sky Lynx will have both the shuttle *and* lynx when in alt mode it's already impossible that he'll be as long as Jetfire is tall. So I wouldn't be shocked if he's boxed in alt-mode. Turn the shuttle and the lynx at an angle and they'll both likely fit easily into a Jetfire sized box.

There's no official confirmation that Earthrise will get a New Galvatron Figure.

Most likely Galvatron is a part 3 figure

LOL! West Dixon. He REALLY REALLY wants a commander class Star Saber...when you can just buy the Masterpiece and get the same thing. All Hasbro needs to do is just reissue it and move on.

 

I wouldn't want a figure without the fun gimmickry of the main line.

 

The MP is a fine figure but it's no Gen Commander, I wouldn't let my kids play with my MPs but they are fine to play with Siege Jetfire, I think a Gen version would be better for all ages and may have higher play value etc

 

Yup. I stopped collecting MPs a long time ago because I wanted action figures and not statues. I’m not hating the MPs but they have a completely different purpose.

 

To be fair when that star saber/Jetfire image was first made we weren't certain yet that commander class would definitely be limited to one a year, only now when sky lynx is appearing in the same rumours as Scorponok is that looking certain.
So if there were to be two a year then one new mould and one retool would have been entirely plausible and you can't blame people for making that comparison, the transformations are very similar.

 

Oh sure. I mean, disputing the viability of the retool wasn’t really the point I was making.

 

Nor mine, the point is not that people want star saber to be a retool but if there is going to be a retool they want it to be Star Sabre, rather than, I don't know, an oversized starscream lol.
