I did laugh at this, but crazy as it sounds one of his predecessors Aaron Archer actually did post hints on this very board in ‘Orson’s World’ back in the day (and I’ve still not forgiven TFormers for the stunt they pulled over it!)

 

What did they post ( ive been collecting ever since john warden took over)

 

Even though I’ve been a member here since 2011, I was lurking for a good 9 years before that & ‘Orson’ used to have his own part of the message boards here where he regularly gave out hints/behind the scenes info on what was coming up & the thought process behind things (I don’t think we knew until it ended that he was Archer, just that he was an insider at Hasbro)

I distinctly remember this is where I first heard about Energon Megatron being a heavy G1 Galvatron homage (this was WAY before Classics had even started!), there was a vocal group on here at the time with the line ‘give us G1 Galvatron or give us death’ which I’d like to think directly influenced him/Hasbro  

I don’t want to derail this thread (& others may know much more than me!) and I was never privy to the details, but from what I gathered TFormers got jealous & royally kicked off to Hasbro, with the result being Archer wasn’t allowed to do it any more. It’s a shame, as that level of direct interaction with the fans hasn’t really been replicated since, & it was great to feel like we really had the ears of Hasbro listening to us.

 

Didn't know that. TFW took umbridge with FunPub a few years back too, over something similar.

 

I don't think that it was just TFormers. Pretty sure that all of the other sites were crying about it.

 

All three of these are on the money more or less. The top post is correct, up till TFormers, I believe it was also other sites who complained about Orson's World(The TFW Aaron Archer part.). What happened with Botcon was that FunPub made them their official News Source and cut out all the other fansites. This, played favorites, and I don't believe any sites were happy except Seibertron, Hasbro, I know, was also not happy because FunPub was making unnecessary drama and this was one of the reasons, among many others, that Hasbro killed their relationship with FunPub.

 

Huh. Learn something new everyday. I thought Hasbro's main reason for ending their relationship with FunPub was because Hasbro was interested in trying to strike out on their own.

 

He's not. He and phamduc get info from different parts/stages of the pipeline, catz sees what's planned, phamduc sees what's produced.

The only outlet Hasbro has directly with fans online is through their social media channels and Hasbro Pulse. However sometimes things slip from their customer service lines.

 

So, technically, they can both be Warden under different names?

 

No, he would've been outed a long time ago if so.

 

@catz are you John Warden? If you can’t say yes or no outright, could you tell us the colour scheme of the rumoured John Warden?

 

I hope he is cartoon accurate...

 

What scale is John Warden in? Do they make an upscaled KO of him with better joints?

 

@catz can you tell us if you’ve blue or yellow eyes? Any hints on the colour of your hands would be great too.
