I think they'll be another redo especially if Cliff is a remold/reshell. So.....Smokescreen +, Dietrus,Cliffjumper,Jazz,Galvatron....and Starscream would be awesome.

Then again if we get Jazz I could see Blaster and a Tracks +.

Speaking of Tracks, only thing that bothers me is the lack of a neck lock and that gap behind his shoulders.

That being the case, are any of you willing as an acceptable compromise for a gap filler accessory similar to the Bandai Hi-Metal Valkyries shoulder gap issues? I really don't see anyway to get around it, if Takara re-issues him which I doubt.

I want to say Loudpedal's neck locks in, so I would expect it on Tracks, think his chest locks in better to. Besides a new paint job, faces, and fixing the tolerances in his knee ratchets I don't really need too much, the gap between his backpack never really bothered me. I guess it depends if they are ready to take the pluses further and do some minor remolding for certain parts.

Loudpedal's neck locks into PLACE?!  My Tracks and Roadrage's neck won't lock at all!

WTfrak Takara?! Inferno, Grapple and Artfire were home run releases! Each had a slight unique retool from the base mold, even the Tracks mold was kinda good (aside from that gap), heck, they made their first evah MP fembot with Roadrage yet they made the neck lock feature like something of a luxury (with Loudpedal)when it should have been an SOP!:banghead:

Dang! Takara must really hate Tracks and Roadrage!:cry

Cliffjumper is not gonna be a retool. I could almost guarantee it.
Oh wow it’s not? That’d be cool if it wasn’t. I was under the impression all Tracks’s were poorly designed.

To throw a little spanner in the works, if MP Cliffjumeper is real and if he's licensed, then this doesn't automatically mean an MP Jazzmeister.

What I've come to understand is that licensing deals are made for specific models. In case of a MP Cliffjumper TT would make a deal with Porsche to get permission to use that specific model of car. Not each and all Porsche models in existence. They'd have to negotiate a seperate deal with Porsche to use the 935 for Jazz. (But if they're already in for Cliffjumper, then the chances for Jazz have increased quite a bit. Still, Sunstreaker also took more work to be agreed upon because of demands made by Lamborghini, even after TT had already released several figures from the licensed Countach for Sideswipe/Alert.)

I get it! That’s why MPM Jazz was made. Cause he was a model they agreed on being made.

Technically speaking, this means nothing. Jada toys isn't Hasbro or TT, and it's not a Transforming robot.

All this means is that a company that licensed the name Transformers and Jazz from Hasbro, has licensed the likeness of the Porsche 935 from Porsche. That's no different than any company that produces recreations of cars getting the license (model kits, die cast cars, etc...). And that has been happening for decades (while HasTak has failed to gain permission to use the Porsche likeness for the past 15+ years).

The only difference is that this Porsche replica (what it basically just is) also mentions Transformers and Jazz. But at the bottomline it's still just a car replica (like so many before it) and not a transforming robot. Nor is it Hasbro or TT, so it existing does not mean Porsche made a licensing deal with TT. If you want to derive hope from this, that's fine, but strictly technically speaking, it means nothing.

Aside from wanting to add him to my collection, one big reason I hope this MP-49 rumor is true is that it would provide a solid answer on whether there’s been any change on Porche’s end.

While a licensed MP Cliffjumper might not guarantee a licensed MP Jazz would follow soon, it would at least be a step closer and would change these licensing conversations.

And if MP Cliffjumper is unlicensed, then that would be just as solid an answer.

Exactly. And also the only reason I'm interested in knowing whether or not MP-49 is Cliffjumper.

It will give so much information about the future of the line. A licensed Cliffjumper means Porsche is on board and the chances of a MP Jazz (being a licensed Porsche 935) will have increased. But a non licensed Cliffjumper will mean TT thinks licensing isn't that essential anymore and that more (minibots) will be without licensing. But that would also mean Jazz is off the table, because the very chibified Cliffjumper might be possible without licensing, but Jazz definitely isn't.

One day we'll be telling our grandchildren where we were when Porsche finally licensed a Transformer.
