More a mix between that and his original toy.

It sounds like there may be a misassembly somewhere else, where you used the finger part instead of the curved part. All of his fingers (other than the thumbs) should be the same, and Lego is usually pretty darn good about not putting in the wrong pieces. Picture of the problem finger?

I hope Lego collaborates with Hasbro to do a Power Rangers set.

I'll put it up once I'm back from work. Will also upload my left over blocks.

Btw, the problematic block with red crystal
that keeps on popping out ( I used floorshine to tighten it up)

And the final with rocket pack.

You altered a Lego brick? Straight to hell, that's a cardinal sin right there

Do I get a pass for being a first time builder?:lolol
Btw, the brick that keeps popping out no longer does. Floorshine works!

When bricks aren't locking into place, usually that means there was a mistake in construction.
Lego Bricks can have tolerances of 0.02mm, but 99.9% are within 0.001mm. So, likely, there might have been a mistake. Believe me, I have built my fair share of Lego Sets.

Yeah usually lego pieces hold on pretty well unless they’re either cracked/broken or incorrectly placed. I’ve never heard of needing to use something to tighten them o_O . Might actually cause that piece to stress and break later.

How long does it take to build this?

I have no real lego experience and my mother in law got this for Christmas for me. I dint really have the time. Her grandson loves lego, I might pass it off to him.

See the reference pics in my OP. Just that part btw. It literally pops out.

8 hours with rest in between, tops.

It's packaged in handy tiny bags that are nice stopping points.

Yup! By packaging. You can do it!;)  Heck, this is my 1st time LEGO build too(and my last:lol  ), took my time (just and almost as smooth as the RX-78-2 PG Unleashed).

The paininthewasteport in my case was his lower leg part(the royal blue ones) and the mix up I did with the fists.

Oh, watch out when attaching his Matrix Chest part into the torso. Make sure it is pushed in taut.

    I neither have

    The time
    The patience
    The inclination
    Or interest in lego.

My in laws know this or should. It was bought fir me under pretense but it's really for my lego obsessed nephew who when he visits will put it together. Oh he will "help me out" with it but he will do it.

Because I'm not opening prime with glee I now can't open anything else or my wife will go why aren't you opening prime.

And folk wonder why I am getting out of collecting
