I remember back in the early 2000's when a Canadian toy company called Ritvik made a Mega Bloks toyline called Transforming Blok Bots.

And Transformers is even better in that regard because it’s mostly robot on robot or occasionally robot on monster combat. Relatively little true death (because robots). You never even see the kind of deaths that you get with Darth Vader for instance.

    I thought Kre-O dominance wouldn`t allow that.

Unless of course you're talking about mid 2000s Bionicle sets. In which case, not so great at all. Those things broke if you breathed on them the wrong way.

And they cancelled that set after it went all through the production phase and some even made it to stores in Europe.
All because a few people pitched a fit over it being a military vehicle.
For those who want an example of things that make me not like Lego as a company, this is one.

LEGO has since replaced those sets of joints with sturdier and less breakable joints. I don't think they would bring back those early bionicle joints for this set.

I'm aware. I stayed around through HF and the 2015 revival.

This could either be really awesome or really underwhelming. Lego's mechs, especially transforming mechs, are usually nothing to write home about.

Then again, Lego can make great-looking vehicles when they want to, and they have been increasing their focus on collector-oriented sets that are more sophisticated in terms of detail & complexity. So here's hoping they have a good designer working on this, and they manage to make the alt mode look good too instead of just a messy afterthought.

Would love it if the truck mode were as clean and detailed as their recent Creator expert vehicles (such as the Porsche below), while also turning into a good-looking Optimus. I just hope they remember that a proper Transformer needs to look good in both modes. (I know Hasbro forgets about that sometimes. :lol )

Pretty obviously fake if you know anything about lego.

EDIT: Unless its G1 prime. That might be done.

    Always the optimist, I see.

I hope if it's the G1 version that it's not a brick in bot mode like the G1 figure.

Hard to be when looking at all of lego’s mechs and current pieces. It obviously wouldn’t transform without being taken apart, so it’s easily false.

It's about time, glad it's based on the ROTB Prime and not....the pictured one. But even more interesting he'll have a jet pack, which may be inspired by his original jetpack
