Got my set today! #37/100. Thanks so much!! They're so awesome. Good bit of heft for such small pieces.
Trust me, there's a lot of labor work involved to make the set.
These ROCK!!! MAIDEN whats next?? Proper slide on Rumble/Frenzy heads or how about a proper slide on RatBat head? !!!!! Id buy all 3 of those.
thats cool that you got custom packaging now!
Got my set and head, these are truly awesome. Thanks, and I look forward to your next project!
any chance for more of these soon
Anybody interested in buying these sets just give me a PM.
Preorders are now open.
I wish I didn't have a set already, or else I'd be all over this
I just got an extra Rumble and Frenzy while working on a few cassette projects. (Including giving my TRU Soundwave MAIDEN JAPAN's head upgrade and my primary Frenzy and Rumble the piledrivers.) What happens to most of them is the spring sometimes gets "bunched up" instead of compressed with changing them to tape mode. The pre-rub Rumble that came with a Buzzsaw (body) I bought for parts was knotted up so bad, the head refused to come up.
My solution was to take a very small Flathead screwdriver shaft and give him a "colonectomy" through a super-small space between the red back plate and black front-of-torso plate. At some point, the knotted mass rose enough to make the head come up (no doubt with a strange expression), at which point I popped it out.
(BTW, the early 1984 head has a post that sticks into the top of the spring. the 1985's are the head itself (flat on the bottom, w/ 2 teeth) and a flat spring stop (which the head "is supposed to" sit on).)
I then took the screwdriver shaft and slowly extracted the gnarled mass out of his body and labored at un-knotting it. Now the spring is normal again, but bends towards the right, even with the head post sticking into it.
Now, I've since measured several springs and spring shafts (including this one) and am in the process of trying to buy some compression springs to fit some of the 1984-85 Transformers (Thrust, Sunstreaker, Ironhide, Rumble, etc.). If I'm successful, I plan to buy more and sell my extras to the customizing community (*cough*Radicons*cough*) for a reasonable (hopefully cheap) price. Wish me luck.
P.S.: Soundwave, Rumble and 8 of their Seeker friends are currently trying to take care of their Power Ranger problem. Megatron insisted upon a more ... proactive approach.
I can't wait to get my set in. I will post pics and a review up on cybertron.ca for you.
I got your Soundwave and Soundblaster heads. Man, they are TOP NOTCH.
PM'ed ya about the Pile Drivers! I'd love to preorder a pair!
What happened to Maiden Japan's ebay account? said he's no longer a registered user
ebay temporaly stopped my account because of some safety policy reason.
I guess they got suspicious that I'm selling same items too many times ( my piledriver sets and custom heads )
They're reviewing right now that there is no fraud going on.
I'll be back on account once they get clear.
Sorry to hear that Maiden. I'm sure ebay will get it cleared up soon.
sorry bro, that sucks
finally i'm waiting the mail with my parts with soundwave\blaster heads
this set really rocks men
Are you still selling these?
