Am I the only one who values base mode over armor mode? I love playsets! Heck the only reason I bought Grand Patriot was to use it as a combaticon base

I don't mind them but often they suffer for having often built in gimmicks that take away from their ability to actually function like a base/repair bay e.g. Armada primes auto transform.

Also space is an issue. This toy looks ok as it kinda just looks like a road block but many again like Armada prime need a ton of space if they even can fit onto a shelf with out poking off

But a 3rd party would be much better than this, especially if I wanted it for BB or ROTF Leader.

Of course, assuming none of the new prime molds are as good as ROTF. I get what you are saying, perhaps the new voyager prime trailer will fit BB prime, for instance.

I'd probably get this for the likely Scourge repaint. It shouldn't be too pricey...

Yeah, the shelf space is an issue.

I've been looking at options to include a table in my display. Right now I have two freestanding IKEA shelves (the ones that bolt into the wall, no stands), with nothing beneath them. If I can find a nice table to go beneath it, i can spread out all kinds of stuff, like my G3 trailer, grand patriot, etc.

    Battle scene time!

I like the sword a lot better. Not too excited about the armor/power suit/trailer though.

I'll only consider it when the inevitable Scourge repaint for the inevitable Scourge repaint comes out. My G2 Prime'll be fine as is.

Well I for one am glad someone is giving us a Trailer when Hasbro is not. The truck mode looks dumb without one.

    Paint me skeptical.

It seems like the small Deluxe figure would have a hard time holding up armor that big. I can see small pieces working out just fine (similar to Protector), but doubleing up the weight a Deluxe needs to hold up will be tricky. I'm not all that familiar with G2 Prime as it is though, so maybe there is something about his armor that gets around this problem.

The sword really doesn't need a replacement imo, but I am interested to see how this set turns out. Anyone know who's making this? I don't recognize the promotion style.

The trailer seems to split into the armor and base, and the base can turn into a turret/ massive gun like in the final picture. Definitely could be cool, though I really prefer when the whole trailer turns into armor without leftover/ base bits.

really want that g2 prime though, looks really sweet.

    G2 Prime didn't have armor.
His trailer was a base only.

Oh look, it's that thing people argued wouldn't happen.

Looks neat. Kind of want to see more of that armor/power suit mode.

I'm down with it. From what little I can discern from the silhouettes, the power armor mode looks like the trailer is just dropped on top of Prime, leading me to think it isn't Fansproject doing this. I expect them to be a little more clever.

Well after all I think whoever is producing this (my money is on FP) knows that static trailers leave quite a bit to be desired. An armor mode is just another level of playability. It takes it from being a block of plastic that sits on the ground and does stuff to somethig that interacts with the base figure its designed for on another level. However I will say that FP themselves took a step back from City Commander to Protector in the trailer department. The giant chunk leftover on protector is much less useful than CC's BFG

There is clip on "Heavy Armour" though. You can see that his silhouette's been beefed up a bit, especially around the shins and forearms.

That part is neat. The complete power armor package looks kinda of clumsy. Still, I can't see much, so I should refrain from commenting. :x
