That seems to be cropped from the pictures that were posted back when the original packaged samples turned up.

Because if we dont buy every Bumblebee movieverse repaint and all the other isle clogging trash like Skidz and Mudflap Hasblow assumes the public has lost interest. Its funny how you didnt see any Generations store clutter. Even Bumblebee from that line was bought in a sec. Pretty much a ******ed move I think. Didnt these go on sale in Europe?

I'd reason that hasbro would never cancel something they've already put into production unless no retailer would stock it, but once you've unironically said "hasblow" you're over the tipping point for debate.

No. They did not. Although i'm often surprised by the amount of people who think they did. They weren't released anywhere.

That is not quite accurate. Remember how the last wave of Generations (Kup, Warpath, Thundercracker, Scourge) shelf-warmed like crazy?

And no, Bodyblock was never released. Of that scout trio, the one whose demis I really regret is Downshift. Bodyblock's color scheme was bland, Rumble was available through Japan, but that Downshift (i.e. Big Daddy/Super Couper homage) would have been great.

I think the last wave was actually Kup, Wheeljack, Warpath, Skyshadow, and Junkheap. That shelfwarmed a little mostly because Kup was really unpopular for some reason and Junkheap was a total nobody. Also, Warpath was in another wave and Wheeljack was in at least two others. That whole set would've sold better if Junkheap had been Wreckgar and Kup had been replaced with Jazz, Tracks, or even Perceptor (all three of which had beyond lousy distribution).

Don't be surprised if it wasn't that someone nabbed them all knowing their value at the time. I mean Wincharger was selling for 20-30 bucks regularly on eBay... made for good trade or scalp fodder.

That Downshift repaint looked sweet. Rumble was cool too, but without Frenzy it's like... daw... you'd have to buy the United 2-pack anyway...

The closest we've got to Bodyblock is the GDO Brawl, and that's stretching it a little.

Downshift, I would've loved. Super Couper homage? Yes please!

    Rumble was a new mold.

It was a complete new mold, designed specifically as a Classics take on Rumble and Frenzy. It did come out in Japan, I did a gallery of the set back when they came out:

    Frenzy - United Decepticons - TFW2005.COM
    Rumble - United Decepticons - TFW2005.COM

Nice toys, decent updates and all, but they got way overhyped with the fact they weren't coming to the US. Had they made it to US retail they'd have been recognised for the good toys they are rather than the exaggerated perception they got post cancellation.

Actually WhiteMocha has it right and you also have it right. The last wave before DOTM was the Wheeljack / Thundercracker / Warpath / Scourge wave. That assortment you have there came out a whole lot later on after all the cancellations had been and gone, and took a lot of people by surprise.
