I am a HUGE fan of the SND Primo Vitalis upgrade for Combiner Wars Prime, and I became intrigued by the concept of a snap on conversion kit that takes a stock figure really far from its original design. After waiting for all the different pieces for this project to come in, I was finally able to start rough drafting my idea of a Shockwave conversion "kit" for the black Ku Bian Bo KO Megatron. With its black and purple paint scheme, a custom Shockwave was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the initial photos of this KO. Coupled with the fact that the CW Megatron "gun mode" looked way closer to a space gun than any normal handgun, I knew Shockwave's alt mode would be totally possible. The initial fitting shown below is very promising, but there are still a ton of problems to solve for this to be fully functional:
    1) need a better fit solution for the Shockwave chest piece in gun mode, in addition to gap fillers of some sort
    2) have to come up with some kind of hinge setup for the backpack
    3) chest in robot mode sits too far out with the shoulder armor upgrade parts installed, so yet another gap issue to solve
    4) paint and his forearm/backpack hose

If only I had a 3D printer at home . . . Lol. More pics to come as this project progresses.

Updates: Swapped in silver legs for more G1'y, repositioned backpack (still working on mounting bracket though), new alt mode transformation with backpack mounting onto the crotch plate. Work continues...

I'm hoping it'll be less so if I can get the right pieces in place! =) it'll be a tough one to solve, but that's what makes it fun in the first place.

I don't have any exact drawings or measurements yet, but to get this to work, I'm envisioning at least several fitment pieces with max dimensions in the 2 to 4 inch range. I'm going to try drafting up part designs this weekend, and if we can collaborate on them, that'd be awesome! Thanks

IF you get some STL files together let me know and I will see if my printer can handle them.

He is looking good already, including the alt mode. All your projects have turned out great so far, so I can't wait to see this one to the end.

Some new update pics bump. He's coming along... comic head swap Megatron is chilling too in case anyone was wondering what that would look like. Nice change for good ol CW Megs. =)
