Hey guys and gals. I think the Rotten Tomatoes reviews will be out in about a week. Based off of the trailers, I'd say this film will get in the 70s to 80s. Yeah that's probably a ridiculous projection, but I feel confident this IS the Transformers movie that will be seen as great by the audiences and critics! I know critics don't matter, but I'd still like to see one of the Bayformers movies be well perceived by the critics for once. I was really disappointed with how the critics treated The Amazing Spider-Man 2. That was a great and fun film, IMO. I don't want them to do the same with another summer film that I've been anticipating.

What do you guys and gals predict?

I predict most won't give a crap about what Rotten Tomatoes and other 'critics' predict or say.
Personally, I think 'critics' are way over rated.

What I think it will be is somewhere in the 50s to 60s. However, I think it should be higher.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2 answers the question, "What would a comic-book film look like if a Michael Bay groupie directed it?"

And then he goes on to moan about stuff that shows his lack of knowledge of the fluff

I don't often take Rotten Tomatoes seriously, because it seems like there's a shit ton of peer pressure on that site to lower/raise the rating or give certain reviews. Like the "keep ToyStory 3 at 100%" hubbalubba.

    But my prediction is 60%.

How I wish the critics would rate it: 50%-67%

How it probably will be rated: 30%-40%

So now you're turning what was simply an opinion and thought of mine into an attack on me.

    Moving on...

Seems like RT in general don't rate action movies as high as other types of movies. Not sure if it's because those films are naturally more action-oriented (at the expense of plot) or what, but it's something I've always wondered.

I have an idea, lets start a Poll.

How many critics on RT will moan about "having to sit through another summer Blockbuster this summer"

Well that's actually not true at all. Most of the Marvel films are rated highly. That new Cruise film was rated highly.

And how many will moan about the movie being "too long." See that one all the time.

I mean, I agree that movies these days are often too long (when they have a 2 1/2 hour movie but not enough content for a 2 1/2 hour movie), but I keep seeing comments like "The movie was well done but it was too long." If the content fit snugly into 2 1/2, then the movie wasn't too long imo.

I'm thinking more as a trend over the years.

The critics from Rotten Tomatoes are a bunch of Bay haters. I don't really care about what they think, they say the same thing for every movie like: "Explosions and Confussion", "I didn't know what was going on", "Michael Bay directs another mess" and ETC. Thats all they usually say, don't pay attention to them.

    Robocop?
And how could Pompei get more then 47 Ronin?
Anchorman 2 more then Desolation of Smaug?

The problem with RT is that there is no real middle ground for anything
