I love what you've done with your repaint. I'll try not to disappoint with my paint work. *cracks knuckles* If you do take another crack at The Fallen, I'm sure you'll have some crackerjack mods next time around.
It can be folded up into a "cybertronian" vehicle type shape, but the head and hip mods have altered the figure so that it does not transform into the factory vehicle mode. The head was cut completely off, the "sun panels" removed, a new neck was added to the modified chest. The hips were removed and altered in order to allow for proper clearance of the arm/torso attachments. All these changes do not allow the existing connection points to meet up. I'm really not intending for this to transform. I'm just not that interested in giving it any kind of alt mode. I could be totally wrong, but I'm not sure if The Fallen has an alt mode in the movie. Hasbro felt the need to make the toy transform to fit the rest of the line, which is fine. But most of what was done to the figure to accommodate some form of alt mode is what has taken away from the look of figure. I'm basically removing all the overt vehicle parts and trying to make the figure look a little closer to the movie reference that's been released so far. Hopefully, when I'm done, the figure will look nice enough that wanting it to fold up into some space pretzel won't be an issue.
space pretzel. I can totally see the reasoning behind not wanting to transform him. I'm planning to mod the neck on mine as well though, and i'm just trying to figure out if i can make that work while still having him able to transform. I even have Movie Megatron in alt mode sometimes
I understand. I'm sure if altering the head and neck while retaining both modes is the goal, it can be done. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
