Here's a ROTF Voyager Class Megatron repaint I've been working on as of late. Painted using Tamiya Silver spray paint and panel lined and detailed with numerous ink washes, acrylics & enamels. These toys really are nice molds and just a little paint really brings out the details. Had a load of fun with this guy. Looking forward to getting a few more of the new ROTF line. Tons more pictures coming soon. For now, one tank mode shot and one bot mode shot. Thanks for taking a look! EDIT: More Pics!
That looks good. You know, last time the Megatrons were not that great, but this go around, both Leader and voyager are nice. The ocean floor look is great!!
Thanks! I tried to keep most of the rusted and crusted look for primarily the robot mode. Not a lot of grime shown on the top side of the tank mode.
Looks great! I didn't want any of the second movie toys, but your paint job makes me want to buy some ROTF figures.
Very nice! I love the effects you put on it. I don't care for his original "bluey grey" color, nice job covering it up! I love the painting on the face the most, must've taken a very steady hand. You really brought out his details, great job.
Finally. I was planning on doing this to mine when I got him and Ive been waiting to see how he'd look. Hell I'm using this as a reference. Excellent job!
Both ROTF Megatron's seem to be improvements on the TF1 molds. But I haven't picked up a leader ROTF Megatron yet. The new voyager is definitely an improvement over the first movie voyager.
I'm sure there will be plenty Leader repaints in the near future. I may give one a try myself. Although I think I like the Voyager mold better.
