Alt mode is like a funky version of Energon Megs I'm very much with the rest that prefers this to the leader class!
looks really nice although mis-transformed. Looks like the black rear wings fold in; the front wings fold back; and part of the front tank treads fold into the main foot (perhaps to decrease the tread size for a jet mode?) Something about this megs reminds me a lot of Gurren Lagann after it gets the flight pack... Tengen Toppa Gurren Megatron? all he needs is drills popping out everywhere and insane sunglasses... although if the fallen is more akin to the devil I guess their union might only make him the lead of a metal band instead.
I love how much bigger The Fallen is next to Megatron, especially since Spoiler Defiance pretty much establishes a master/servant relationship between The Fallen and Megs.
I might get this if the cannon is actually a flamethorwer, because theres nothing more terrifying than a flying flame throwing tank.
Why, because he doesn't have a huge out-dated gun scope on his arm and a trigger crotch? I find this 'abomination' to be a perfect amalgamation of the first movie Megatron and the concept artwork. Once we see it properly transformed (some of those wing panels look like they can lay flatter than they are shown), it'll probably end up being the best movie Megs to date. Although I still really like the new Legends one.
Gods, it's hella ugly from the side in alt mode, it's feet don't fold in and it's dragging it's huge arse (thrusters) along the ground. My enthusiasm is dented but it's still got a better bot mode then any movie megatron figure to date.
Thanks, but no thanks. Alot of kibble, weird greenish color and hes neither a tank nor a jet..or both. Eww.
Doctor 1: "We have the technology. We can rebuild him." Doctor 2: "The surgery was a huge success, a perfect combo of tank & Jet!" Doctor 3: "err um.. unfortunately, we have no idea what to do with his freakin' head in alt mode"
I am just loving all the cyb alt mode tf's in this line, not a huge fan of movie tf's but and sci alt mode one really speak to me for some reason.
I actually prefer Cybertronian alt modes over Earth ones. It gives the figure/character an alien-yet-familiar feel to it. For example, Megatron here is basically a tank. Not an Earth tank, but still recognizable as a tank. And really, a super-advanced alien species of sentient machines don't all need to look like they just came from a GM dealership. Having the 'alien' mode every so often mixes it up enough just to remind people they are in fact alien. Sure, they are supposed to be 'robots in disguise', but if you were a person on the street and a huge, jagged, jet-engined death tank turned the corner in front of you, would you really care if it turned into a huge, jagged, jet-engined death-robot?
I really like cybertronian modes when it's personality based. You see, this Megatron is extremely arrogant, hates humans and thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread, that's why he thinks he needs no disguise AND keeps his freaking head in the front of the tank.
I wanted to know what was his Mech Alive Gimmick, something that you answered 1 seconds before my post showed up. Thanks for the info too, sounds like a real fun toy.
Not guns but, G1 Megatron's black pipe gun scope sure is outdated. Nowadays, they're like iPods! Smaller!
Not really. Telescopic sights are still in use when people want to see things at a distance. A red dot like the one you've pictured doesn't have magnification, making it not much use for distance work.
