0_0... It doesn't look half bad... The green...... I know the fallen toy has some green on it... So it may be possible that they combine or merge or something in the movie? It's a possibility.
Compared to the leader figure pictures we've seen, this one has less of a brick-body, better tank tread-feet, and the best movie Megatron face we've ever seen on a figure. Seriously considering skipping the leader figure altogether although I don't understand the reason behind the tank/jet hybrid.
Wow, I really quite like that, I was gonna skip the leader mold anyway, might pick this one up instead.
What's this? A movie Megatron that I might actually want to purchase? Lets just hope transformation doesn't consist of turning over and straightening the legs. :/
Interesting, he doesn't look all that bad. I might just be interested in purchasing a movie figure for once. However, the green? eh...
A bittersweet victory for Hasbro, I will finally be adding a movie Megatron to my collection but it certainly won't be that terrible. bland looking Leader version because this one is pure awesome! Looks like those wings and odd bits can all fold in or at least retract a little so it should have a great looking tank mode which is what I've wanted from a ROTF Megatron toy since I saw that CGI picture of it.
Don't get me wrong, it looks great. The big treads in the back and the giant carapace (sp?) looking shell make it look like a death beetle tank, which I like. And the robot mode is great, but the vehicle mode just doesn't really look a lot like anything we've seen for him before. I guess Movie Megatron's are just destined to be denied totally faithful vehicular representations. He doesn't seem to be bothered. He's very happy looking. And yay for his peekaboo head!
Its a case of wut the hell is he. I'm going to post a bold theory which is bound to draw me flak. In Bay's claims of megatron appearing in flashbacks, could this be his original cybertronian mode?
This figure is made from 99.5% pure win, but you shouldn't get him if you don't like him. If a design is lazy and awful, the designers and company should be rewarded with a shelf warmer they couldn't give away if they payed you to take it. That being said, Leader Megs is that very shelf warmer.
