Just got a call from the Manager at my local WalMart. He said that at 5pm next Friday, the 29th, they will be able to start selling the new Transformers.

Seriously? Not that it matters. It's only a few hours.

It matters for the many people who get off work at 5PM and could make a quick stop at Wal-Mart on the way home, rather than fight weekend crowds the next day.

He said that's when they will be putting them on the shelves. So be looking at your local stores this week for the reset.

Well then, I have two walmarts on my way home from work, and then another two within 25 minutes the other direction.

It's amazing, 4 walmarts within a 60 mile diameter in no-wheres-ville ohio. Crazy. I would hope ONE of them would have them set. Saves me the time at midnight, or 1am, or 2am, or whenever they may still decide to do it.

Yeah, if this works out I won't be up at midnight next Friday. Or at least not up and sober.

I went to Walmart on the street date in 2007. I expected to see all the new toys out on the shelves. There was nothing. I asked about it & they told me "oh, we'll be putting them out slowly starting next Monday". They didn't give a rats ass. But now that they know what a money maker this line is, maybe their attitude will be a little different!?!?!

I don't think you have to worry. Do you know how many pallets & how many cases of this stuff they have in the back? There will be enough for everybody.

Now if we were GI Joe fans we'd have something to worry about because GI Joe fans buy the best figures just so nobody else can have any. They play keep-away from other fans. GI Joe collectors are the worst hoarders in this hobby, but they call it "Army-building". I'm so thankful Transformers collectors aren't like that.

Will this happen in all Wal-Marts in North America?
