I just hope these rumors are true about Prime surviving and isn't just watered-down and sugar-coated for the kiddies. I remember the Junior Novel from X2 had Jean Grey still alive and well at the end.

The non junior novelization had that ending as well. The decision to kill Jean Grey didn't come until a later draft of the script.

Wow like the bits of info that have come out.

Still puzzled over the whole demolisher dying thing.....how is he going to be apart of devs.

And i KNEW sideways wouldnt last more then 10 minutes.

Devs getting hit by a battleship dont sound too bad...maybe prime helps out and devs collapses as prime then takes on the fallen and kills him.
    maybe megatron deserts the fallen.

Well Demolishor losing his head matches up perfectly with the showest footage of his supposed severed head, so this definitely sounds probable.

Hmm interesting. Kinda taking everything with a grain of salt though.

For some reason the mention of Prime's body being moved around a lot when he's supposedly dead... that would be awkward in my mind. You have something thats near 30ft tall and completely dead weight, not to mention Prime is pretty much all arms and legs in particular.

They mentioned him being on a transportation platform in the junior novel....matches with the set rumor from a military extra a few months ago that he was involved in a scene where the military was guarding OP's body.

Do you remember who "kills" Optimus in the book?

    Megatron? Devastator? The Fallen?

Can't say for sure as I didn't read through how it happened, more how he was revived. Definitely not be Devs though....Optimus is already "dead" before he shows up. I assumed he gets messed up in the 3 on 1 we see in the trailers.

The book's only $6 or so. I'm half tempted to swing by B&N again on my way home from work to pick it up and give it a read before the hockey game tonight....I'm most curious about Soundwave's involvement.

I didn't at first....but if it plays out in the movie the way the Jr novel suggests I kinda like it. It's not as much a combination as much as Ratchet welding pieces of Jetfire onto Prime as armor. It's not very descriptive though, so it may still be a generic combination. Jetfire gives himself up, Ratchet says he'll do his thing....then it say out of the smoke comes Prime flying.

    Ah okay, thanks.
But yeah maybe the three on one, fits with Sam screaming "Optimus!" like something extremely bad is happening in the trailer.

    I'm just guessing.

    Megatron.

If Prime/Jetfire is going after Devastator and then the Fallen, who's watching Megs?

I feel like I know so much about this movie so far that I am not going to save any of it for the movie. The movie will be amazing just because I'll actually get to see this stuff on screen. Ironhide and Optimus taking out Demolisher sounds right to me from what I've read. Ironhide and Optimus might be the only 2 autobots mentioned in the beginning of the jr novel other than the twins who just crash into something and split apart. Am I the only one who can't wait to pick up the novelization on Tuesday?

A 27 page preview is up at Barnes and Noble's website (there's a thread about it in the News Forum). Sideswipe is present in Shanghai in the first couple chapters....Sideways is there for about a paragraph but isn't mentioned by name before getting taken out by Sideswipe.

As Sam packs for college, his dad mentions that Sam "overnight" went from straight B's to straight A's and aced the SATs....explains how he got into an Ivy League school. It's hinted that his exposure to the allspark is what caused it.

You mean the real/adult novelization comes out on thrusday?

Or is that those prequel novels that take place before the movie?
