Awesome job, definitely worth what it sold for on eBay. I only wish the retail version was even half as detailed as this in terms of paint apps.

not worth what it sold for, but good for you, you can paint and polish a turd as much as you want, the end of the day, it still a turd.

Yeah, pretty much just immune to these comments finally.

An excited and happy buyer > comments like that.

It amazes me that somebody has $4,000 that they just spend on a glorified plastic brick. I have problems with my nephew spending $5 on little ones.

dont get me wrong FR, i think you do beautiful work, doesnt change the fact that i think the toy hasbro put out is crap and i think that anyone who would pay that much is an idiot, just my opinion though :)

I would assume you speak of the one who bought for $4k, not the whole bunch of people here on the forums who are gonna buy it for $100?

I'm sure Tommy was refering to the winner of the 4k auction....and if he feels the figure itself is a turd, thats his opinion, and he's intitled to it.

Spending 4k on a custom figure?....hey if you got that kind of loot laying around for stuff like that, go for it. Would I pay that, even if I had it? Nope. Not at all.

As I said earlier, F_R did a good job making it look slick, and I would have gladly paid $100 for his version in a store, but without modification/paint work, the toy is still a brick in my view, or as Tommy put it, a turd.

As good as the paint job on this one looks, I think I would rather pay that much for one of FR’s Ptivite Devastator. Just my opinion.

yeah, I understand. but to each his own. for some reason, I am "getting bites" quoting a LOT more for a ROTF Devy than I would for a Ptitvastator (could be the season of course)

Then again, it's not my business or care what/how people spend their money or what interests them. I know guys who will save $ for years to buy an old baseball card.

Congrats on the sell. Looks awesome! Any progress on Devastator with the deluxe and voyager figures?

holding off on it. I see a potential for it's "demand", but honestly no where near what i (or we) thought it would be. I stick to my alibi and guns....Devastator's limbs didn't have robot modes in the movie ;)  I Still intend to do it, but won't be for a while (wanna see if Hasbro will even offer those arms first) TBH, before you see that, you're more likely to see my G1 themed ROTF Devy.

Would that be ROTF in G1 colors or your usual Dev customs but in the ROTF configuration?
