I just got my ROTF Starscream. All too excited until I read the instruction. It appears that originally ROTF Starscream has at least two more articulations (as circle in red): The fingers/claws and the missles launchers. May be they want to cut cost, but if they cut they better cut it across the board. I certainly don't want to see the Japan version will have these extra articulation while the rest of the world don't.
Hi there. Has anyone heard any rumors or news if the ROTF Starscream will have a G1 treatment release similar to the target-exclusive Movie Starscream? i'm still "on the fence" so to speak if i'll purchase the ROTF Starscream voyager version....
No info on a G1 inspired release so far..but there IS a leader class Starscream coming. Yes, if only he could flip up his hands like in the instructions, he would be perfect..now it's an almost perfect raptor with claws coming out of his back..
He's a really great toy, except for those damn claws in Raptor mode. I'm bothered by this most because they didn't bother to redo the instructions, so when you read them you're perfectly aware that there's an issue. Come on Hasbro. Get your crap together.
Mine is the Takara version and it has the same illustrations on the instructions as well... Don't worry guys, no extra articulation on the Takara version too.. When I reached that step in the transformation, I was wondering what the diagram was trying to show as the claws were already down from the beginning....
Thats quite the colouring difference too...I know the metallic pigment is slightly more expensive but thats just a skimp too far.
Actually the second picture is way too yellow. I have the figure in hand and the real thing is somewhere in the middle of those two pictures. If you imagine the photoshoppery shininess is not there on the first pic, it already pretty much looks like the real figure. He's slightly more brown.
Just noticed that the kneepads have articulation in the first pic as well, but not the second... They really cut corners with the production model, eh?
