Well I got him from Tfctoy yet again.

He is MUCH better in the color scheme than the first movie one.

He has many Beast Wars homages like some of these cyber-glifs and the 916-96. the 916-96 is 9/16/96 and is the day beast wars first aired.







He has a SMALL golden decepticon logo near the tail



Robot Mode Still Sucks!



The Black color scheme makes it a whole hell of a lot better. He also has some cyber-glifs on his head.



Here he is next to Soundwave. He is shorter.



He is a little taller than the Motorola Adventure...



Well even if you got the original one go ahead and get this one.

I like him. Hardly ever saw him when the first movie line came out. The colors work well, and it's a nice Beast Wars homage. Sold.

I've got him as a part of the fifth assortment hitting retail saturation around October time. That's the info that was on the card at Botcon.

 

The robot mode does suck, but the new colors really make it look better for some reason. I think it might have something to do with the vertical red lines on him.

 

Is it even in the new color in the movie?

 

He's replacing my Movie One Scorponok as my Transmetal BW Scorponok.  

Repurposing, yay!

 

Still a little iffy on this guy. I love the BW homages, but I don't think it will persuade me to buy him again.

However, I think I see half of the Predacon symbol there on his leg/side of torso. Which is downright awesome.
I ran it through Photoshop.

 

I don't think I'll buy him again, either. Personally, I liked the original deco; this new deco isn't bad, but it loses that patchwork quality that the original one had.

As for the Predacon symbol discovery you made - rad! Nice way of keeping it a funky design yet incorporating BW into it (which, I must admit, I have yet to watch in its entirety  ).

That's pretty cool. Never got the first Scorponok so I might get this one.

 

So that probably means that we will start to show up in mid to late July, going by current trend.  

Anyways, this new deco is interesting. But I think, for the most part, it would be one of the "what it looks like in person" for a buy.

The "hidden" Predacon symbol is another nice touch, though.

 

I have the first one and I repainted it. No need for me to get this one.

 

Holy Crap! This guy is CRAWLING (no pun intended) with BW homages! While I still think the toy is utter garbage since it doesn't really have a "transformation", I might pick him up if he goes on clearance as it's one of the three in-movie mold characters I don't have for the 'Cons in the first movie (and he's also the only optional one, as I may pick up ROTF Grindor to be my Movieverse Blackout and he comes with a mini-Scorponok himself which would work since it looks better by itself.)

I'd just pass altogether on him, but I have a fondness for weird TF toys, and the fact this guy has awesome BW homages all over him makes me sorta think he's okay, but for around $8.00, no way am I paying $12 or so for an better deco on a crappy toy.

 

Can the owner of Stalker Scorponok take a pic of him next to the original TFM2007 Scorponok? I have never seen a direct comparison of them.

 

i sold my 2007 movie scorponok sorry... i am in the process of getting a cheap one off ebay and i will then.

 

He never remembered to clean the blood off his tail, did he?
