The plastic has a green hue to it and different lighting/cameras/editing will bring it out more than others. Mindwipe is the same way.

Actually, Skystalker is jet black. When I put him on top of Mindwipe, you can clearly see the difference in color. Mindwipe is a dark green and Skystalker is a nice black. I don't see the off-black color of Skystalker as you do, Matt.

I was answering Stune's question about the gray limbs looking green in some pictures.

Skystalker is indeed all black on his black bits, whereas Mindwipe is kind of a black licorice green. :)

Though I can see the confusion, as I wasn't specific about Mindwipe 'being the same way.' Mindwipe's black is actually kind of green depending on the lighting, whereas Skystalker's gray is kind of green. :redface2:

I don't have Mindwipe yet, but I would not be surprised if I ended up liking this little guy more. He has an almost airtight alternate mode, his matte black color is perfect for his stealth nature, and he's decently poseable and detailed in robot mode.

His little hatchets are cool too.

Finally got this guy. Wow, like most people say, it’s great. Jet mode is near flawless. Bot mode is great too. I didn’t have problems with the spring feet. Mine stood up fine.

More pics of "Skystalker-on-top" fan combo, using Recon Ironhide's clip-guns because, well, they look cool this way. Thanks to www.tf-bbs.com for the idea. Feels more movie-like to me, with the brutish, creepy, inhuman proportions. I also like how this combination uses Skystalker's pegs, and can pretty much be pulled off without separating the two of them in vehicle mode.

This just makes me love this little guy even more. Mindwipe, too. Two awesome toys, two equally awesome combinations. Best ROTF toys so far, when taken together.

Finally found him! I must say I'm pleased, another excellent scout mold to add to ROTF's track record.

Bigger than I expected in vee mode, and while the springfeet are a little fiddly, I'm not having trouble balancing him so far. Then again, as limber and gangly as the little glitch is, I'm more than tempted to takes some thread to him for hanging flying poses.

I -really- dig the range of motion on the wings - like the doorwings on the '07 Swindle mold, you can get a lot of emotion with 'em. And between the wings and the arms, he can almost draw his own weapons, even. Dig the storage on his little murder hooks too, and the options for holding them.

    It takes a bit.
Keep messing with it and you'll get the hang of it.

Anyone else using Skystalker as a shield for Mindwipe? It's kind of silly, but I like it.

Probably the best scout figure in the ROTF toyline.

The limbs on mine are brown/olive drab.
They are not acid green - is there a limb color variation on any of the other scouts as there is with Scattershot too.

Spring feet really put a damper on my enjoyment of this figure, but since pushing the feet a little further until they click through and makes it more stable it's now great because of being able to get a more normal leg stance out of him.

There are definitely variants. Others are saying Skystalker's primary colour is matte black. Mine is definitely a dark green. It probably matches Mindwipe, but I'll never know cos Hasbro aren't releasing him here.

The limbs on mine are a pale green.

They are tan on mine (with the very slightest hint of green- i'd call it olive drab):

I hope someone can get different ones sideby side to see if this is just a photographic artifact or if there's actual varients - there could be as many as 3 varients then...

    Or none at all.

    Very puzzling.
