Did anyone else find the instructions for ROTF Skids to be overly complicated and unclear. It may have just been me but it was really difficult to understand and figure out if from the directions. Luckily if you have transformed enough figures you can work it out on your own. Just wondering if anyone else had the same issues...especially with the roof/trunk section?
I was reading Rampage's insturctions and I was like ... wah? I man his transformation is simple enough.
Transformeing these things nowadays is like having sex. Yeah the first time sucks, the second time is better you kinda know what your doing, everytime after that I'm a pro.
The instructions for nearly all the ROTF toys are kinda wonky, just watch the video reviews if you need help, and both Skids and Rampage are pretty easy once you get the transformation down.
Yes, they could have been better; a couple of the steps should have been shown at a quarter angle rather than directly. Even so, I managed to figure him out. That being said, the kicker for this figure was the top of the car mode. The main part doesn't want to flip over the roof properly. I was afraid of snapping and chipping plastic, but after watching Peaugh's review, I realized that you just have to be quick and firm with that part. I like the overall form of Skids, but I think his feet and legs made him very hard to stand or pose.
I kind of wedge his roof on the top of the backs of his legs. Makes his very stabile now after I tried that.
I tried this out this evening - it worked! Not totally ideal, but it's not like he was designed to pose like TFA Prowl, right?
ROTF instructions always make the figure seem more difficult than it is. Once you get the basic gist in the instructions, you're better off winging it for the fine details and what not. When I realized how simplistic some of the figures were (compared to some of their fellow ROTFers...) I wanted to burn those instructions and dance a jig around the flaming pile. They finally got the instructions down to where you can pretty much figure out how to transform the toy, while previous sheets had entire steps missing, but this time they make every step darn near difficult, and for no reason. I sure do miss the days of photographs of the actual toy to assist in transformation.
Demolishor's are the worst instructions I've ever seen! I gave up & just figured it out on my own. I don't know if what I ended up with is correct but it looks close enough.
i find the instructions for all of em to be pretty bad, but watching some reviews on youtube can certainly help.
