I'm guessing this custom has been done to death a thousand times (some which are even miles better compared to my so-called crappy repaint ) but what the heck...I've been messing around Sideswipe with some red permenent markers and the end result is this... May I present... ROTF Sideswipe/Lambor Ku-rim-son Re-do (Crimson Red) Edition : (Please excuse my lackluster painting skills. ) Now all I need is something to seal the ink in so it won't wear off and smear on my fingers
God I'm so picking up another sideswipe now, all these red repaints looks so good, even when they aren't perfect it still looks amazing.
A good thing to seal your color with is the pledge floor polish with future shine! I dont know if you have it in your area but it works awesome. I use it to protect my ink when I use markers on mine. I will even take the purplish tint out of the blue sharpies.
I think you did a great job. I didn't even kow it was marker until I took a closer look. Well done. And the tip of using floor polish to seal it is brilliant!
Thats actually pretty cool, you have almost nailed the "marbleizing effect". there's a lot of custom cars with it!
Thanks for the kind words guys. It was initially an experiment which turn out better than expected. Thanks for the tips. I'll look in to it but I don't think that Pledge is available here as I live in Asia. I'm using Sharpie markers. They come in variety of colours which are very good as a replacement for translucent paint. Reference Page : Sharpie.com Global Landing Page
